What Guests Say About Their Stay

Had very good memory of this hotel. Grand. Resort style. Hugh, beautiful pool and surroundings. Very green! Really good staff. Hazem Mohammed made our stay special. Great person, befitting his position as chief concierge. We travelled independently so he made sure we got what we needed for going out around town. Other staff members provided necessary attention too. And Naser our room attendant went above and beyond to make it comfortable to stay there. Eating had to be in if not out in a taxi. One main buffet room, a cafe, an Italian and a Japanese. Buffet is quite good. Plus, a really good liquor bar that we frequented every evening that made our very good drinks. Wifi is not reliable at all. Smoking is allowed, and seems everywhere. Bed is comfy and shower hot and strong. We were happy!

The pool was massive and there were always loungers available. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel itself was magnificent. I preferred this hotel to the one we booked into afterwards (has views of the pyramids). Price was also great.

The good: Good beds, good shower, excellent swimming pool, spa onsite, gym, very good Italian restaurant. Good receiving and room staff. Great service at the pool. Really close to GEM and Giza Pyramids. The bad: Pillows are tall and hard, impossible to use, will remind you of Giza pyramids’ blocks. Taxi service provided by the hotel wanted 80 USD to take us to the airport. We had paid 12 USD by uber from the airport to the hotel. Even at peak rush hour we paid 24 USD. To ask for 80 USD felt like calling us idiots.

The staff is very helpful with great service. The rooms are so so. The pool is nice. They have hidden charges when you book like charges for extra people which comes off a little deceptive. They say it’s for the breakfast but you’re charged extra already for breakfast. They say it’s charges from expedia and expedia says it’s charges from the hotel policy so it’s all a little shady.

The hotel was beautiful the staff attentive but not intrusive. Unfortunately we only got to stay one night but have every intention of returning for a longer stay. The room was large, super clean and the bed comfortably with a good mattress. While we didn’t get a change to use the pool, we did have a walk around it and it looked clean and well maintained. We dined in the food was fresh and plenty of choice. We took advantage of the breakfast and there was plenty of choice and the pastries were fresh and tasty. The scrambled eggs delicious and fluffy. The pancake’s were the same. The staff were there when needed but not hovering over you. Discreet and polite. Overall I’d recommend a stay at this hotel.

We enjoyed our stay, the food was great, facilities were clean and well maintained. Our room service was spot on and when we left the 'Do not disturb' sign on the door one day and the staff did not clean the room - the next day they left a lovely bowl of fruit to say sorry. The pool and pool area was wonderful. We will be staying here on our next visit to Cairo and recommend this delightful hotel.

This is a large compound just a short drive to the pyramids. It is very safe and secure and has a feel as a retreat. It would be good for groups, workshops, teams or large families. The pool is nice. Area and rooms have a lot of mosquitoes. Breakfast buffet is mediocre and evening buffet is expensive. Room service meals are reasonable. Room needs more outlets or extension cords. I had to move TV to plug in laptop. Really stingy on coffee. I got 1 coffee, 1 tea bag, and at least 15 sugars.

Our room had a funky smell. The counter with the kettle had coffee rings from a cup. The counter between the beds also had coffee rings. The counter in the bathroom was dirty also. I carry hand wipes with me so I was able to clean these areas. The towels were changed 3 times and NOT once was the bathroom floor swept or cleaned. My feet were dirty from walking on the carpet which as far as I can figure the carpet was not vacuumed while we were there. The employees, the guards and the restaurant people were all VERY nice and friendly.

No way, shape or form this is a 5-star hotel. The room we were provided the first night was abysmally dirty: unvacuumed, smelling of smoke, with stained mattresses and box springs. To their credit, the staff was good and moved us into a different room the second night which was more along the lines of what this property sees itself as, but even this "suite" was simply a nice room that should be the standard of the hotel. There are better places to stay in Giza for the same price which will be a more pleasing stay.
