Barons Court Hotel

From arriving at the front of the hotel, I did wonder what on earth I’d booked. But once I realised you just drive around the back of hotel for checkin. They are under going refurbishment apparently. I was greeted with a nice young man who was very welcoming. I asked where I could go to have a meal and was directed to a lovely pub/restaurant just up the road. Really good meal, again very welcoming. I had booked breakfast & was hoping to have a meal in the hotel, but received a message as soon as I had booked explaining restaurant closes after breakfast. Breakfast was fantastic, although way too much for me to eat. 2 nice ladies, very helpful. Asking what type of egg & tomato would I like. Plenty of choice if you don’t want a full English. Just help yourself, tea, coffee, juice, cereals, bread, fresh fruit. One of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had & I’ve stayed in many hotels. Baron hotel- your staff are a credit to you. They go above & beyond. If I’m in the area, I won’t hesitate to book again. The only negative I have to say is: Clearer instructions for where to go for checkin, as wasn’t clear.

For £50 per night, it was pretty good value, if you just need a place to sleep. The hotel is under refurbishment, which is needed. Room very dated but was clean, bed was comfortable with tea and coffee amenities in the room. The coffee I made tasted weird, I'd say a new kettle would sort that out. Lidl right across the road. However no lift was working while i was there. The staff were friendly and helpful.

IHad to climb 2 flights of stairs which i did not fond safe. The door clearly had card fob once and eventuallly found the added lock to put the key. TV did not have cable to plug in. Only after complaining and insisting the manager came did they do anything about. They did though provide free breakfast to compensate.. the floor boards outside the room creaked so could hear people walking around outside the room. Overall a hotel in much need of a refurbishment.

The shower head kept dropping - No bath plug to have a bath... the TV was working intermittently - No signal, No restaurant and no bar..

As always, check in faultless. Racheal is so friendly nothing is to much trouble,also the young man who works reception is just the same. Its because of them i keep returning here when im in the area.Reasonably priced, comfy bed,tea,coffee provided.My room had a working fridge(bonus keeps the beer cold.)

It was awful and waste of money. Some people on benefits staying at the hotel with noise and smell of cigarettes in corridor

A horrendously below standard room - zero star in my view. Shockingly poor decorating standards, loud pipes causing from other rooms causing intermittent sleep, noisy residents/corridor, key cards not working, unable to shower due to inconsistent water temperature (boiling to freezing), low pressure, poorly maintained and leaks, brown water in one room and really bad lime scale in the other (couldn’t be drank), broken window (smashed and unable to close), unable to watch TV as the aerial wasn’t tuned (portable aerial unable to tune). Avoid unless you want no sleep, don’t clean your teeth, wash and like to sit staring at the wall! However, the only good thing about the stay was the breakfast and the price, although that room should have been free of charge.

Best staff ever, couldn't do enough for me. The hotel it self has seen better days. But the staff make it brilliant. Although dated the rooms are the most comfortable I have ever stayed in. Breakfast was a continental and full English. Bacon, beans, hash browns, sausage and choice of egg type. There were cold meats, pastrys, fresh fruit tea, coffee (filter) orange and apple juice. Very comfortable lounge with TV. When I arrived back from a day at work fresh coffee was always offered by the staff by here is a bar but no alcoholic drinks. If you looking for a 5 star hotel this is not for you. If Yiu looking for a comfortable stay and friendly amazing staff then this is the one.

Ive stayed here a few times and i cant fault it.Ratchel on reception is great and so is her Male colleague.Nothing is to much trouble and they are very welcoming and friendly. It is reasonably priced,rooms are big with a comfy bed,tea and coffee in the room. Decent bathroom with a in bath shower all very clean.Although they dont open for food in the evening you can order a takeaway and eat it in the breakfast room with cutlery and plates provided.

Hand held shower didnt stay upright. No lift.

Check in was quick and straightforward. Was given an upgrade to a larger room as the room I had booked had a fault with the TV. Bedlinen and bathroom was very clean. Unfortunately, occupants in another room chatted loudly and partied from about 1030pm until 7am the following morning. Got virtually no sleep. At no point did they s h u t up. At least four people in the room. I'm sure they slept very peacefully when they finally decided to go to bed at 7am or so.

Staff was 10/10 very friendly, breakfast was excellent, Car park 10/10 👌 but room and bathroom were very average so overall I would say 6/10.

Loud neighbours above, room smelt musky and a bit dated from what were in the pictures, shower was temperamental and the fire alarm went off at 6am wouldn’t stay again I’d avoid.
