Duke William Hotel

Room was well appointed, spacious, and very clean with thoughtful touches including homemade cookies, and chocolates. The Tea/coffee station and toiletries were a good-quality and welcome addition. The big bathtub provided a much needed soak after a day traversing up and down steep hill. The bed was massive (though we found the mattress quite hard). The staff were lovely and helpful, and the whole building was very nicely decorated and kept. Breakfast was standard English fare and the kitchen were able to make dietary amendments for our party’s intolerances/allergies with no trouble. Wonderful location in Uphill Lincoln, plenty of parking on site. We would have liked to make use of the electric vehicle charger however sadly, someone had parked a petrol BMW in the space preventing this.

Friendly, helpful staff. Spotless, nice room & bathroom. Gluten free breakfasts were tasty with different options, plus care was taken to avoid cross-contamination. No GF cereal option, though cooked breakfast was filling without it!

The room was very comfortable and the bathroom very spacious but a little hot! I would have liked the option of fruit or yoghurt at breakfast. The dinners were excellent and the staff were all extremely welcoming. A loving short break and an opportunity to visit your beautiful city.

We were able to check in early, The rooms were clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was more than enough for us. I would definitely recommend The hotel to my friends and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Breakfast was very decent lots of options and great service in the morning too, bed was very comfy and room was good size and in great condition!

Lovely little place, staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful made you feel like you were regulars which personally i loved. Food was amazing and all freshly cooked compliments to the chefs on site. Room was very comfortable and clean, and so quiet.

Car park is behind the hotel but very close to reception. Restaurant very good, breakfast was excellant and very good choices

Adored our stay here! The location is perfect for sightseeing, shopping and tons of dining options. The staff was lovely and accommodating and stored our luggage for us upon arrival and departure. Such a charming area to stay in and would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Lincoln.

Staff really looked after us. Despite arriving after checking closed. Lovely dinner and breakfast. Was a super location too.

Easy walking distance to both the castle and cathedral. Staff are super friendly and there is good pub food and a great English breakfast.

This is our fifth stay at the Duke William. The beds are comfortable and the room is stylish and good quality furniture and fittings. The breakfast never disappoints.

Hotel was welcoming very friendly and helpful staff. Room good facilities excellant,comfortable bed pillows not to our liking but ok. Resturant good juice of food well presented staff helpful and efficient Breakfast again good choice will provide something if not on menu Overall an excellent stay will book again.

Very nice comfortable stay. Ideally placed if you want to visit the castle & the cathedral. Only things to be aware of is that there is music until pub closing.

Lovely bar and restaurant. Staff very friendly. Room 5 was very small and the bed was the most uncomfortable bed and pillows I have ever slept on. My partner likes a hard bed but he said this was like sleeping on blue circle cerement. Shame as we stay in Lincoln quite often but would not stay again because of this.

Lonely old pub in the Bail, good food, great service, comfortable, clean, with parking.

Great location, great room, the only thing that let the hotel down was our evening meal which was not at the standard we had previously experienced and staff managing restaurant on the evening did let it down. Saying that, breakfasts were fabulous, and otherwise great experience and will definitely stay again.
