It was a beautiful renovated building; our rooms (family) were lovely, spacious and well-equipped, and the bathroom was excellent! Overall, the town of Bath was wonderful, full of history and beauty. We did tons of shopping and a walking tour (highly recommended), and the restaurant across the way (Crystal Palace) was most excellent!

This is a fabulous small and unique boutique hotel in a great location and setting. The plane tree in the square is magnificent. The Cathedral and other main attractions are close, the whole area very walkable. The basement lounge and bar is very well designed, relaxing and a great asset. Great staff!

Staff was great and location was great. The room was great except it lacked any air conditioner and it was very warm and hot especially at night The staff added fans and quick replied to any problems. It was unseasonably warm which affected our stay especially at night. I would defiantly give this hotel a another shot because of the staff

We stayed in room 14. It is in the basement. The room was lovely; however, at approximately 5:30 a.m. it sounded like there was a bowling tournament on the floor above us. There is ABSOLUTELY NO insulation between floors. Our desire to sleep became a joke.

Lovely spot, right in the centre of Bath. The room we had was in a different building just round the corner. (A fantastic whisky bar below though and a pub opposite!) It’s right in the square where the Christmas markets are held and it does have a steady stream of passers by especially if you like the window open at night like ourselves this might be a little irritating. We had to be up early so no time for breakfast but I presume it would have been lovely as with the breakfast room it made me want to cancel my morning meeting to enjoy a leisurely breakfast! Nice touch to leave some chocolates in our room as a gift for our anniversary night away. Only feedback would be that the pillow are so soft they don’t really support your head. A firmer pillow I think would be more widely liked by guests and also non feather would be a bit more universal.

This is hands down the best stay in Bath. The location cannot be beat. It is 2 minutes to Roman Bath and Bath Abbey. It is next door to Sally Lunn’s Eating House and Bath Bun. It faces a very cute court yard with a large English Oak tree in the center. The house/room itself has a lot of Georgian charm. It is spacious, nicely renovated and tastefully decorated.

We stayed in the secondary property just around the corner in the basement room. It was room light and very comfortable. The bathroom is down a set of stairs with a low ceiling, which was the only issue however there is a “mind your head sign” Just be careful if you need to visit the bathroom in the middle of the night. Breakfast, the following day was great All the staff were really friendly and helpful Would definitely recommend

My stay at Eight was really nice. It is perfectly located at the Center, allowing you to walk, dine, shop at easy distance. There are plenty of attractions in the city, all accessible from this hotel. They have two buildings and I happen to get in the second one far from the restaurant but it is just a few steps away. My room was at the top floor (no elevator) so if you have problems with climbing stairs, just request a more accessible accommodation. They have a honesty bar with drinks and snack, very cute. Breakfas was very delicious, staff was very friendly.

The hotel itself was beautiful, modern and clean. The staff were also welcoming, friendly and helpful in helping my elderly parents to their room. The location of the hotel was so central that nothing felt far away. The only downside was the noise from the adjacent bar/restaurant and the pub next door which resulted in sleepless nights. Whilst it’s no fault of the hotel - it did spoil what could’ve been a relaxing stay (even with the ear plugs).

Lovely stay at Eight. No fault of the hotel but it is very noisy at night. Saturday night students were in the streets until early hours. Sea gulls are very loud in the early hours of the morning. On Monday morning a bin truck came at around 6am and empty thousands of glass bottles from the bottle bank. The location of the hotel is very central and perfect for all the sights in the city, but you will not have a peaceful nights sleep.

Had a great stay, lovely service and I like smaller boutique hotels. We were in room 9 which is a basement room- no problem but we needed to have our blinds down to feel we weren’t being looked in on, not a big issue as we were out a lot of the time but that’s why 4 not 5 stars.
