Such a wonderful property, and the rooms are so very clean and comfortable. We slept so well, and were treated quite nicely. Kate is such a lovely host, and her brekkie is top-notch. We enjoyed chatting with her as we ate, and found her delightful and helpful. The farm setting is so peaceful (for us guest that is, a lot of hard work for owners), and the location is great for visiting the Lizard and other places around south Cornwall. Thank you much for such a great stay!

Our stay at Higher Trenear Farm was amazing. We stayed in one of the Mongolian yurts, which was unlike any other accommodation we've experienced and really added to the charm — it was the main reason we booked. The yurt was rustic yet very comfortable, perfect balance. We loved being surrounded by farm animals and lush greenery — it made the whole stay feel peaceful and special. Hosts Kate and Terry were incredibly welcoming and kind. We’d absolutely love to stay again!

We had a wonderful few nights in a yurt at the end of July. As a family of 2 adults and 3 children we found the space to be more than comfortable and spacious. The yurt itself was wonderfully furnished and the kitchen outside well equipped for all cooking needs. Hosts Kate and Terry were always friendly, approachable and on hand to help. The communal facilities were spotlessly clean and showers nice and hot. It was a real bonus having a kitchen with electricity, fridge space and a lock box for charging. There was even a hairdryer available for use in the communal toilet area! Each yurt is located in its own field so we have plenty of privacy and peace and quiet. The children loved seeing the goats every day and popping around to see the pigs too. Thank you for a fantastic break and escape. It was the ideal way to kick off the summer holidays with some quality family time.

Had one night here in June, lovely location down a quiet lane. The room in the main house was very cosy with a very well appointed ensuite. The manager/owner Kate was lovely and gave us recommendations for dinner in nearby Porthleven. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious as well. Highly recommend staying here for a quiet. Cornwall getaway.

The Yurt was beyond all our expectations. Comfortable, spacious, warm and generally just fantastic. The hosts, Kate and Terry are both lovely and went above and beyond to assist with helping us use an essential medical aid. Lovely area with everything you could need local or a few minutes drive. We cannot wait to return next year. If I could give a higher rating I would.

This place has to be one of the best places i have stayed in a long time, the room spacious and clean the bathroom facilities were second to none, lovely selection of tea and coffee in the room and a lovely warm welcome as well. Breakfast was a lovy selection of fresh fruit yoghurt and fruit juice follwed by a full cooked breakfast with locally sourced ingredients which was packed full of flavour and will set you up for the day ahead. I couldnt recommend this place highly enough and planning another stay in the future. Oh and the bed was extremely comfortable.

Both my Husband and i had a lovely overnight stay. Kate was very welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble . Breakfast was vast and tasty . Would definitely visit again .

Our stay was wonderful. The accommodation was beautiful. The Farm was stunning. Kate and her husband are absolutely lovely. Kate goes above and beyond for her guests. Nothing is too much trouble. We felt so welcome and looked after. It was such a pleasant experience we would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to stay in west Cornwall. The breakfast was all freshly cooked home food in a cosy dining room. We have never stayed anywhere with such genuinely amazing people. Kate clearly loves her b and b and her heart is in the soul of the farm. She interacts with her guests and is one of the loveliest people we have ever met. It was truly a pleasure to stay at her beautiful farm. They have made it perfect.

Higher Trenear Farm is absolutely fabulous! Terry and Kate are perfect hosts and the accommodation is outstanding. We can’t wait to go back again. Do not miss the chance to stay at this little gem.

Overall, I had a wonderful stay at this property. The lady wasn’t expecting me because I had made a last-minute booking and was also told that they do not usually accept same-day bookings, so unfortunately the owner was caught somewhat unawares. Nevertheless, I was made to feel very welcome with a hot cup of coffee and delicious brownie as I made myself comfortable in the huge garden waiting for Sally to make up one of the rooms. The double room was beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean. There is no TV in the bedrooms here, but you can make use of the comfy lounge, which I had entirely to myself during my stay. It was actually nice not to have a TV in the bedroom! There was also a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities in the room. It felt like a “home from home” thanks to the hosts, and I had a very restful night’s sleep. There is also free onsite parking. I had a full English breakfast the following morning, along with cereal, fruit, juice and coffee, which was all delicious and cooked fresh. Thank you very much - if I am ever in the area again, I will be back for sure. I would love to be able to stay for longer next time :)

This is the second time we stayed with Terry and Kate. The welcome from them both was lovely, like visiting friends. As before the accommodation is spotless and really like home from home. Breakfast is delicious and very generous with homemade and hand-reared ingredients. We will be visiting again and again. Highly recommended!

We were so pleased we found this property. Terry and Kate made us feel at home and welcomed us with a cup of tea and a piece of cake. The property was perfectly clean, the room we stayed was warm and comfortable. The breakfast prepared by Kate was delicious and very generous. We would definitely like to stay again.

This is a must stay! From the very first message you are greeted with warmth! Kate and Terry are simply one of the most hospitable people I have ever met. They really do make you me stay special. The accommodation is full of character and is very much top level. My kids had a great time, my wife was so happy and I loved it too. It was comfortable all round. Highly recommend.

We have stayed in many B&Bs over the years, ranging from excellent to average but have to say that this is the best one yet. A wonderfully peaceful location, yet not too far from everything you might need, along with the most warm and welcoming hosts you could hope for all combine to produce a winning recipe. I fully intend to recommend this place to friends and family and very much hope to come back again soon.
