Holiday Inn Express PORTSMOUTH - NORTH by IHG, an IHG Hotel

Very friendly staff, from Duty Manager, reception, bar and waitresses, very clean tidy room, very comfortable bed. Good quality curtains ensured a good night's sleep. Ate in the restaurant which was good, plenty of choices for the inclusive breakfast.

Everything was perfect.

Great for easy access to the ferry. Clean, good food.

Great value for money and lots of parking space

I cannot put into words how delightful the pink coloured hair waitress was, the rooms are basic but consistent.

Nice hotel. Big room and big barhroom. Very good breakfast. Cheap parking. Just not good customer services. I've sent an email to the hotel requesting a service and I never received any answer. I requested the service on the check-in and I was ignored.

Breakfast room staff excellent very helpful and friendly need more praise for hard work .

Good clean rooms and helpful staff

Excellent for an overnight stay, would be good for longer. Definitely felt more than a Holiday Inn Express, more like a regular Holiday Inn. The room was spacious, the bathroom particularly was roomy and not the standard unit. Breakfast was HIEx standard, but that's fine. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Overall a great stay, would defintely choose to stay again in this area.

Clean Comfy Rooms, the most chaotic breakfast service I have ever experienced. 1- Ran out of cups 2 - Ran out of glasses 3 - Ran out of Cutlery 4 - Ran out of Baps Total Joke.

Been here several times and can’t fault it. The restaurant meals are a bit pricey though. Apart from that it’s first class

Really lovely staff, basic rooms, a fair amount of road noise but not enough to keep you awake. Breakfast is ruddy great. Only comment would be keep an eye out for the parking charges, signposted to pay before check-in but they then give you a voucher for discount during check-in.

Late booking in , late booking out option , great parking and well lit .ease of booking in with very friendly service .. Clean great room . Food was good .. over all I loved my stay and will stay again

Stayed three nights. Only ate dinner on the first night which wasn’t very good. Room was fine and clean. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast at weekend (half term) was chaotic with lots of items running out and taking ages to be replaced. Car parking charge unclear. Supposed to be £5 per 24 hours but turned out to be any part of a day therefore charged £20 for 3 nights ( two whole days and two part days) 63 hours in total not more than 72.

The hotel needs a bit of a freshen up. There was a very bad smell in the main corridors which instantly caught our attention. The cleanliness of the room also wasn’t great. There were stains all over the carpet and the flooring in bathroom. Upon lifting the toilet seat, there was also a lovely gift on the seat (a hair) which was concerning, it looked like the seat hadn’t been cleaned. The room was very spacious and had a lot of floor space, yet the bed was pushed right next to the window. There was very minimal space to get into bed and could feel a draft from the window. It also meant I felt like my head was laying on the table next to the bed at points. Breakfast was also poor. The coffee machine was broken the second morning of our stay. Let’s just say I wouldn’t rush back!

Loved everything about the hotel! My only problem was that there is no electric charge point so i missed breakfast on my last day because i spent most of my time trying to find electric charging point to charge my car! It would make life much easier for your customers who have electric cars if you had a couple of chargeing points on the property
