Holiday Inn ROCHESTER - CHATHAM, an IHG Hotel

Very friendly welcome and a quick and easy check in. Comfortable modern bar area. Breakfast had a great choice available and was very good. All staff very friendly. Our room was a good size, clean and comfortable. Only fault was the shower hardly had any pressure and you barely got wet! But would highly recommend all in all.

The room smelt of damp and there was mould in the bathroom probably because the extractor fan didn’t work. The bar and restaurant and staff were all good.

Just received an email from the hotel asking how my stay was - unfortunately we could not make the trip due to a family emergency and it seems that the Hotel Manager had 0% compassion as they refused to refund the stay for the unused room or even offer a credit in lieu for a future stay. Therefore I would not recommend this hotel and have rated it accordingly. It doesn’t take much to keep a loyal customer happy, especially in a time of need, so sadly I will have to avoid this chain in the future and spend my money elsewhere.

Bit noisy after midnight

There comes a time when complacency should never be a factor at a hotel but it appears if you stay too much in one place, that’s exactly what happens. The service becomes poorer, the rooms you’re given become worse and the conditions of the hotel worsen. Top that with a member of staff actually arguing at your table and the manager refusing to address that issue, means it’s time to check out and cancel your future bookings.

Room was comfortable but very basic. Took long time to check in. We ate dinner in the hotel - 2 courses for 3 people took over 3 hours! Not great food and took AGES and no one around to ask so had to go looking for staff - wouldn't advise eating dinner here but breakfast was ok!

Lovely clean hotel where staff are very friendly. Bus stop located right outside hotel.

I can here as a retreat. I needed some me time. It was lovely. It was topped off with a massage with Porsha. Definitely will be back!

The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was fantastic with a good choice. The only down side was the bedroom, it was clean but the bed was in poor condition and had a rip in the material.

If I’m in the Medway area, then I would always just stay at the Holiday Inn Chatham convenient location very friendly staff

Pleasant location. Staff friendly. Chef needs to pay more attention to detail. Food came at intervals rather than all together and the food was not exactly what I ordered.

The room 119 the door lock was not working went back to tell reception they were fully booked so they could not swap rooms we had to sleep with the door being able to open from outside so anyone can come in did not feel safe spoke to duty manager this morning explained the situation to him Damien duty manager he said they will refund the money to you and then we have to tell you about it which i am now so you can refund me the money back into my credit card account thanks please contact me with more information

Great location for our trip. Used the pool which was nice. Breakfast area was really smart, felt new & fresh, food options were good. A kids gift/package on beds on arrival Was a lovely touch Would recommend & come again

Excellent service, comfy beds, great Breakfast. Definitely value for money.
