Iffley Town House

What a great find! If you are staying in Oxford Iffley Town House is the perfect place for one two or three nights away. Located close to the city centre with bus stops both ways literally outside the door, its convenient. The room was spacious, clean and with great towels and soap provided. There was even a fan and it was a warm night so it was appreciated. Bed was large. Communication and directions to enter the property simple and easy. When I rang the owner as I had a problem with parking I had booked they sorted that for me as there was space outside I was then able to use. Wonderful coffee shop 2 doors down too! Overall definitely a great place to stay!

Excellent accommodation and staff were very helpful and accommodating.

The place was okay but I had a lot of issues while staying here which I’ve listed below: - noisy - soap (handwash) provided burned hands - mothball smell which stains clothes - lots do wear and tear - if you have asthma wouldn’t recommend staying here There is no help desk just a number so not most useful in the evening but okay When issues are reported if they are after the stay they will not compensate you or reply to your concerns even if you send an email. Stay is 2*ish and is fine if you don’t mind issues above and don’t really care where you stay

Beds were clean & great. Bathrooms very clean. Temp in the rooms very good. Kitchen was lovely with everything available for cooking. The garden was nice. A few cushions for the outdoor furniture would be a bonus. And some touch up painting on inside of rooms & wall’s going upstairs. We had issues with the hot water but when we called there was immediate help. The female cleaning the rooms was very efficient and helpful. Accent chairs in rms appeared to be old and much used.

Have to say this is a very average place to stay . Positives are it’s very easy to find from the train station and gaining access was very easy . Negatives - needs a good lick of paint and the bed provided was so uncomfortable I hardly slept . I would give it a 2 star rating certainly should be charging less for a room

Nestled in the heart of East Oxford, Iffley Town House is a convenient base for exploring the lively Cowley Road, Iffley Road, and the bustling Oxford city centre. Whilst the room is idyllic, the walls are thin, meaning when others engage in activities such as talking or watching TV, you can hear everything subconsciously when trying to sleep. However, its fantastic location compensates for such matters, especially if it is a weekend night. While Iffley Town House may not fit the traditional image of a hotel in Oxford, it offers a unique cultural experience for a brief city break in the vibrant heart of East Oxford. It's a refreshing escape from the city's sights, sounds, and exceptional attractions, with a variety of food and drink options available nearby throughout the day.

Property was very clean and well laid out. There was no tea making in the room. Admittedly, I did not check out the shared room downstairs. Two criticisms: I had to chase up the code for the door for my 2nd room I had booked (I received a message for just 1 room). And I had requested the beds to be singles when booking on Expedia app. I further reiterated that request in the Expedia message thread some days prior to arrival. The room was set out as king bed. To their credit, they dealt with the beds after phone calls. However, it should not have to be sorted out whilst I am there and through my effort. It’s unclear if the property people ignored my initial requests or Expedia’s app has glitches in how it shares requests from guests.

Nice room no faults very clean

We have stayed at the Iffley Hown House a few times and always enjoy a comfortable stay. The rooms are always spotlessly clean and the communal kitchen is a real bonus. The property is ideal for concerts at SJE and is 15 minute walk into the city centre so located well. We hope to see you again next year!

Excellent and spotless. My new go to place in Oxford.

I would have rated the place higher if customer service was better. We had a power-cut and was informed it be sorted out in a couple of hours. We didn't have any heating, lights, WIFI, tv for the remainder of our stay. It was freezing old and we had use our phone torches lights and our phones died because no electricity to charge our phones. As I understood it was a power-cut the next day I tried to talk to the owners for some compensation as I have still used their bed and shower so wasn't expecting a refund or anything. No communication whatsoever since we left and have been chasing them for weeks now. Hence why the low rating as I would have given better rating but customer services isn't great.

Clean and comfortable with nice neural decor. Communical kitchen was well equipped and a nice bonus. Easy walk to the O2 and restaurants on Cowley Road

Loved this property but at night the area was a little unnerving. It wouldn’t put us off using this property again. The room was great and good facilities. Generally good location as could walk into the city and some nice pit stops on the way home

Excellent room and property. Owners very helpful.

Clean, comfortable bed. However, my room (No. 5) was quite noisy in the morning; one of the bay windows does not shut properly, which might have resulted in a cold room (even with the radiator on). I understand that B&B does not offer shampoo and shower gel. Yet I I do think the room should come with a bar of soap as a necessity.

We felt that such a spacious room should have had a chair each. Perhaps a small table would have added to our comfort. Very comfortable bed and well appointed bathroom. We chose Iffley Town House because we needed a short notice stay for an early start for local hospital, so would stay again if necessary.

The room i had was excellent for me, single bed with en suite. I have enjoyed my stay here and I would definitely stay here again and totally recommend Iffley Town House to anyone.

Very good location bit hard to find parking but lucky to get outside as only 2 bays apart from that it was really good coffee place next door plus co op store kitchen is brilliant l will definitely go back .

The ubications is excellent

The check-in process was NOT good. The email confirmation stated codes would be sent ahead of arrival. However, on arrival I realised they had not. In the blistering heat, with poor internet connection on a dying phone, I had to hunt for a phone number, left a voicemail and waited for approx 15 minutes to get my door codes.
