Kings Head Masham by Greene King Inns

My friends and I had a great three nights at the King's Head. The accommodation was good with a sizable and clean room. The breakfast was great with a lot of variety. We ate in the restaurant twice during our stay and the menu was varied and quality was good. The hotel bar serves a wide selection of spirits and wine and the beer from the two local breweries was excellent.

Lovely stay from start to end. Wonderful friendly service. Super restaurant and atmosphere. Highly recommend.

We’ve stayed here several times in the last few years as it’s a great base. The room was good, quiet and comfortable. The staff were friendly however they were met with difficult conditions. As one of the only places to eat in the village the hotel had run out of over half of the menu. This caused a few issues for many of the guests as it wasn’t communicated until you tried to order. On check out day we discovered that the lock mechanism on our door was faulty and we were unfortunately locked into the room. The phone number provided wasn’t manned so we were left with trying to get someone’s attention by banging on a window (which also wouldn’t open) Finally someone came and managed to get the door open. Once downstairs there were no staff to speak to other than a waitress in the restaurant area. In all a bit of a disappointing few days stay at the hotel.

Lovely last minute stay, quirky room and thank god we are quite short as the beams are low in the room. Really enjoyed it and would return.

Well placed in the middle of town. Very welcoming and hard working staff Gaye and Chris.

Great place to stay. Good food and great selection of drinks. Staff friendly and welcoming.

Another stay here. But have to say this was the most disappointing room we have stayed in here from all the times we have stayed. Signs of damp in bathroom and just inside front door. Room was nice but small

Nice room with exposed beams, bed too hard for me but that’s personal preference. All in all a nice place to stay.

The staff were delightful and really went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. Including a hand written note in my room upon arrival and addressing me by name at breakfast. Something I've never experienced before. A great place.

Good evening meal, quiet clean room, good breakfast.

Great setting and a well appointed hotel. Very friendly staff and the breakfast team was particularly welcoming. The breakfast itself was excellent and whilst the evening meal was good it was also over priced. The room was comfortable and clean and we overlooked the village square which made for a pleasant view. The shower was not the strongest but the fluffiness of the towels made up for this blip. The decor was a little shabby in places but nothing that spoiled the trip.

Lovely accommodation in (it should be remembered) a lovely old building which is also a lovely pub.

When we arrived they couldn't find our booking but they were so helpful and sorted it out very quickly the staff's makes this place so welcoming and helpful from reception to bar and restaurant wow defo 10* from us only thing let it down was the cooked breakfast but cold for selection was spot on. Staff were so funny made our day as never been before and was like we were regulars. Thanks so much for sorting a lush room out..

Nice village setting, good parking, decor in the rooms a bit tired. Good in the evening was really poor

Great hotel great service

Only a 1 night stay but found the staff very very polite and friendly. Would give the hotel 5 star but it is a bit tired but very clean and tidy.

this is probably the 5th time have stayed at The Kings Head, so it must suit me.
