Check in: Simple process conducted at Pennington Hotel, Ravenglass Location: Newtown House was located down a farm track in Ravenglass, not advisable in sports cars or cars with really low clearance, it was fine in hatchbacks with standard suspension setups however caution must be taken with potholes. Lots of parking available, 6 cars parked with ease. A few pubs are located in Ravenglass which is a short walk however a torch is recommended in the dark. A Tesco store is located in Millom ~25 min drive. House/Amenities: Newtown house was spacious with a dining room, living room with TV, kitchen with all self catering equipment and a utility room/pantry. Upstairs there were 4 bedrooms: 1. Double bed and en-suite with shower 2. Double bed and two single beds with en-suite and shower 3. Double bed 4. Two single beds. Bedrooms 3&4 shared the final bathroom. No Wi-Fi is available at the house but service is intermittently available with some carriers such as EE. Overall, the stay was pleasant, clean and allowed us to have a base located in the Lake District.
