This is an amazing pub! Lovely staff who are friendly and helpful. The food is outstanding with some great specials. There is always a buzz. We had one meal here that was so good a week later when I had to return I spent the whole week here! Highly Recommend

This hotel has friendly staff with a warm welcome, good food and is good value for money. It was convenient and comfortable. It’s an old building, so it’s not all modern and pristine, but it does have character and we feel that we had good value for what we paid. It was a very cold spell and our room was very chilly for a good few hours on arrival, but it did warm up and was warm and comfy all night. We sat by the cosy fire in the pub and relaxed. Everywhere in the hotel was clean, extra large bed was comfy and all our laundry items were clean and fresh. If you are looking for the pristine surroundings of a modern hotel, then you should pay double the price and consider going elsewhere. If you are happy with a friendly atmosphere, and a little dated, but very clean surroundings, we would recommend this hotel. I think that the price is very fair for the service, room and food that we received. Thank you to all for our comfy overnight stay.

Warm welcome, beautiful & comfortable room with excellent bathroom & facilities. Dinner choice was very tempting, choice of beers & gins extensive and very welcome at end of a long days drive. All 3 ladies who looked after us were delightful and following a very peaceful & comfortable night we were pleased to see a very cheerful Naomi again at Breakfast. What a very hardworking team.

Spacious room with very comfy bed and excellent home cooked breakfast! Staff were amazing even little things like showing us to our room rather than just giving instructions! We will be staying again 🙂

We could not fault our one night stay, the welcome on arival, the comfort of the room, the evening meal and breakfast, the friendliness of the staff were all first class. Our dog was really spoilt with attention and a bag of treats including a ball. A wonderful place to break a journey between north and south.

What a pleasant surprise to find this lovely inn on Expedia. Excellent value for money. Comfortable, clean room and en-suite. Lovely food and excellent menu. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this little gem.

As described it’s a little old around the edges with some mould around the door frame in our bedroom. Having said that I’d definitely stay again. Very welcoming, comfortable, had our own door into the garden for our dog which was an absolute bonus and to top it all the food was delicious. Really pleased I found it.

Stayed before still very good although I think it has changed ownership. Only disappointment, there was no fruit or yogurt at breakfast although the cooked breakfast was excellent (plenty of choice)

Nice place but not really suitable for tall people
