Sofitel London Heathrow

Really good hotel. Excellent room, really great breakfast with fantastic service. Not so good was that the hot water was only lukewarm and the furniture in the overpriced bar was badly worn out and torn - something you would find in a run down pub instead of a 5 star hotel! Nonetheless the best hotel at Heathrow by some distance!

This hotel is very nice and very comfortable . We certainly will use it again if we have a layover in Heathrow. Great Pub is a 10 min walk away. “White Horse” is its name and it’s the real thing!

Great hotel. Just lacked a couple of the usual features like plugs next to the bed. But managed without and a great base for a early morning Heathrow flight

Just a short stay to catch early flight. Excellent service and will definitely stay again.

There are not too many plugs in the room and one was broken. The maintenance crew couldn't fix it. Luckily we were only there for one night.

We enjoyed the convenience of staying here the night before our early morning flight. We both felt well rested for our holiday after a comfortable nights stay and dinner at the hotel.

Comfortable, clean rooms. Friendly and attentive staff, and the food in Vivre is outstanding

The restaurant food is too expensive for the money. Breakfast is way too expensive. Staff is very nice and accommodating- always. A very nice stay and will stay again.

Perfect location for walking to Terminal 5. The staff were great, easy access to the tube for going into London.

My husband and I had two very enjoyable stays at the Sofitel on two consecutive weekends. We were very impressed with the standard of service, the extremely comfortable beds, the quiet (quite extraordinary for a large hotel at a major airport!), and the food options, which although pricy, were of extremely high quality. In particular, the food at La Belle Epoque is first-rate! Our only (relatively minor) complaints were mostly to do with the fact that the rooms are becoming increasingly outdated. The fact that all the electrical outlets are on the opposite side of the room from the bed is slightly annoying, and some of the fixtures e.g. light switches don't work as they should. On both occasions the magnifying mirror in the bathroom was unusable - not only was the glass damaged, but the arm which was supposed to hold it in position was broken and drooping. In addition, I'm not sure why the rooms have to be so cold. We stayed during one of the UK's increasingly frequent heatwaves, yet couldn't get the room warm enough for our liking, even with the fan turned completely off. Finally, if natural light is important to you, this may not be the hotel for you. Most (?) of the room windows open on to a covered atrium, which means that even when it's bright and sunny outside, your room will be bathed in a curious half-light that's a little disconcerting . . . I'm taking the trouble to write this review because I LIKE this hotel and will definitely stay here again.

Amazing place to stay close to the terminal check in was easy and smooth. Food was lovely hotel was clean and tidy will definitely use again

We stay regularly at this hotel for sheer convenience - walkable into T5. The 5 star rating is misleading, however, and the place is getting older each time we're there. Cleanliness is not always what it should be, and staff attitude ranges from superb to quite awful depending on who you encounter. This place is now trading solely on its convenience.

Great convenience for Heathrow airport travelers. Spacious well appointed rooms.

Ordered a Carbonara. Watery, bland and tasteless. Over 20 GBP? Really poor meal. Internet not working in the room. Came down to explain to one of the staff who just rudely told me it will work eventually and then turned his attention to someone else. Appalling behaviour and attitude. Room key failed to work 3 times. An apology from main desk but they lacked any real interest. Just not a good stay and really average service from a supposed 5 star hotel

We had a free upgrade on arrival which was a lovely treat after a long drive from Cornwall! Room was excellent as well as the customer service, will definitely be back! Thank you!
