The Blue Boar - Maldon

Fabulous location. Staff all really friendly. The breakfasts were great. We will definitely stay again.

Beautiful old building bursting with history, helpful and friendly staff and a lovely breakfast. Easy and free parking round the back. Only downside is the very steep stais to the second floor, worth bearing in mind for anyone with mobility issues.

A lovely stay. Beautiful room, great location right in the centre of Maldon.

Lovely hotel. Only slight complaint was light was getting around the curtains. Could build a box around window, which will solve issue. Otherwise brilliant stay.

Perfect for Maldon town centre, located directly off the main High Street. Small car park was located at the rear, but easy to find a parking space on a Saturday despite the run up to Christmas. Reception area was warm and pleasant and the room perfectly adequate. Bed was extremely comfortable, and the bathroom spotless. Staff were welcoming and helpful, and breakfast offered in the morning was plentiful. Can be a little noisy in the evening, but after pub closing time it was very quiet.

good to re-visit. I worked here for several previous managers and owners, even having our wedding night here. rooms have been upgraded with new bathrooms and amenities like tv, tea/coffee etc. Breakfast very good, and very helpful staff. Bar welcoming with real fires. Highly recommend

Lovely location in a hotel steeped in history. The room had been refurbished and bathroom was really nice. Bed comfortable and breakfast excellent.

Wonderful base from which to explore Maldon and visit RHS Hyde Hall

We had a great nights stay here. The staff were exceptional and the hotel and breakfast was lovely. The only down side was the matress was not great quality and too soft but this would not put us off staying again as the overall experience was amazing. Thank you very much to all.

Very pleasant 1-night stay - nice, fresh room, clean & in good condition; breakfast adequate - freshly looked to order and perfectly ok, if not great. Bars are charactful and lively, not so sure about all the stuffed dead (somewhat moth-eaten & dusty) animals in them! Maldon is great & full of history!

Told on arrival our room was upstairs; which it wasn't. After bringing everything back down we were told it was outside. Room was good and clean- perfect for 1 night. Great location for surroundings.

If I'm visiting Maldon, I always stay at the Blue Boar if there is availability. Atmospheric building with breakfast included. Staff always friendly and helpful. What's not to like!

Lovely service, very comfortable and clean room. Very central and the pub was great to sit outside and have a drink in the warm weather.

Stayed here many times. Nothing not to like.
