What Guests Say About Their Stay

Wonderful and quirky hotel! Very nice rooms and in the perfect location at the junction of Hyde park and Oxford street shopping. Will definitely stay here again, the only issue is the absolutely tragic elevator situation. They have a “smart elevator” system, that assigns elevators based on what floor folks are going to, however this does not work well in practice and especially during busy times. Be prepared to wait up to 15 min for an elevator. My recommendation is to get a room on the first or second floor and just take the stairs. It’s unfortunate, as it was the only discrepancy during our stay.

Everything was great, except elevator service. Overcrowding and frustration among guests as only 2 of 6 were working for a large hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for a family birthday. It was a big zero birthday so we did think they might produce a cake in the room or something but they didn’t. Arunn came with a package that included dinner the executive lounge and cocktail making. It didn’t come with breakfast which is a bit frustrating because there is no breakfast in the executive lounge however from 2 o’clock they do afternoon tea and at 5 o’clock they do drinks and nibbles, but we didn’t really want to have any of that because we were already having dinner in the hotel which was included in our package. They seemed a little bit unhelpful and I suggest the Product Manager perhaps have a look at this for future days, there’s only so much food you can eat in a three or four hour time, but then you’re starving in the morning. Probably the best thing about this hotel is it location at the top end of Oxford Street Also, the bottomless brunch is pretty good value as well which we had on the day we left as a big family meal we had a brilliant service The one thing that really lets the hotel down is the lift which seem chaotic at the best of times six lifts but there’s always about 20 people outside queueing In addition the hotel rooms are a little bit disappointing for London quality. They’re a bit of a travel lodge standard where is the reception and communal areas are slightly high-quality

Lovely hotel reception and bar area, rooms were clean and simple, nothing wildly different to average. Check in was quite slow, which meant 15mins queuing. Bar service was a bit slow too in the lobby bar.

Convenient location and interior room was quiet despite being very close to the elevators. Be prepared to wait for the elevators at peak times (breakfast, check in). On second day, housekeeping only provided one set of towels for two guests. Called twice to request a second set but never received. Bathroom layout was tight with toilet wedged between wall and sink.

Left a day early but ended up paying full stay but felt claustrophobic in the room. View was just an industrial air conditioner unit. Lines for the elevators at times took 15 minutes. Asked about stairs and was told they’re not accessible. Good location though.

The elevators were a mess. At certain times of the day, it was impossible to get down. Also there are no stairs that exit inside not to mention that people are discouraged from even using them.

The staff was great, the restaurant and rooms were great. The biggest problem was the elevator access as it was always a bit slow and a wait because the hotel was so busy

Lovely hotel but the lift situation is awful- regularly waited 10 mins for a lift, then waited 20 mins on the day of checkout for a lift as we had cases - 9 lifts came and went and were absolutely rammed. Ended up having to haul several heavy cases down the fire exit stairs as we had a train to catch. Wouldn’t stay again because of this which is a shame as hotel and location are excellent.

Totally satisfied with our experience here. Our room was clean and modern. Water was hot instantly. The location was great, the hotel is right off of Oxford street which is one of the biggest streets in London, so there’s plenty of transportation around. Most major landmarks were also 20-30 min away by foot. The breakfast had a good assortment, although not the best quality. There was also complimentary tea, coffee, biscuits, and water in the room. The hotel lobby was very beautiful and lively. The staff were all lovely and attentive. They also have a green perk where you can miss cleaning and they give you 10 pounds to use at any of their food and drink places. You can do this for 2 days in a row, but they have to clean your room on the 3rd day. Downsides were that there was no view as we were on the 1st floor, but that was not a big deal for us. The bathroom door’s lock mechanism was broken, also not a big deal. The bathroom door was also frosted for some reason and had a gap due to the hinges, so you could see through the door. Didn’t matter for us because we were a family, but just an observation. They have half shower doors here so water tends to splash out on the floor. The water mechanism was also a little strange as you have to have it on the maximum pressure or else the water will be too hot. The elevators were a hassle as there are so many people in the hotel and there was often a line to get up or down. We used the stairs most of the time as we were on the 1st fl.
