Very noisy loud banging during the night like to a door or elevator bashing very loud ! Little or no sleep

Really clean, lovely staff. In a horrible area but felt safe in the hotel. Rooms need better soundproofing, I could hear doors slamming in rooms above and adjacent throughout the night.

Great room on the sixth floor overlooking the main road. Compact but still cosy enough for the few days of stay

The spotless clean room. The "little" breakfast offered in a bag at the door hook. The coffee maker in the room, plus the free supply of coffee and water on demand. The big bathroom and room ( we had cosy room park view ). The big and very comfortable bed and pillows. The good wine list at the bar and at the restaurant. Nice and helpfull staff at the reception and at the restaurant.

Property is great! Only low score is the area but didn't affect my stay. It's an area that is slowly getting modernised. But still quite rough in parts.

The staff at the hotel were very welcoming and friendly. However, the room was disappointing. The shower was very weak, the TV channels were basic, the pillows were so huge that they were not comfortable, the duvet was too thick for a summer season. It was spotlesslessly clean. The breakfast was expensive for what it was - coffee, juice and limited choice other than eggs. I have never been to a hotel where breakfast didn't include cereal or toast/jam, as well as a hot option. They did provide gluten free toast and eggs without a problem. It seemed as if the hotel was more about looks than the basics - it was elegant and attractive but not functional.

I give Expedia.com 1 Star and Hoxton 2.5 stars because: 1. Expedia.com gets 1 Star with this being the 3rd strike and you are out for booking again through your company. 1) I booked a hotel in Paris, where after booking through Expedia.com, I was still charged additional money as a "local tax" upon arriving at the hotel. 2) After paying for an exorbitant airfare for a flight on Ryanair and than having to pay extra upon arrival at the gate, I am fed up. 3) Hoxton Hotel receives 2.5 Stars because the size of shower was embarrassing, pre-paying for breakfast was a ripoff. This being the 3rd strike for charging me, prepaying $81 extra for breakfast at The Hoxton hotel, for a meal that costs less than 25 British pounds. Than, being insulted by the waitress and being told what is included in the breakfast. If I want to order more, I will have to pay more. If I selected a 3-Star place I would've got more choice, that also tastes better. The room provided had a shower that I could barely fit in; and I am not a large person at all. The width of the shower barely bigger than the shower head, and I kept hitting the sharp edges of the soap dispenser as I'm trying take a shower. I have now been paying more to book through Expedia.com for lower quality with my past 3 bookings.

Couldn’t use the shower- shower door mounted over the taps / valves. So couldn’t turn shower on before entering. A massive Health & Safety issue

Very small room with almost no amenities; no space to put clothes when

Stayed 2 nights (2 rooms) for a trip to Wimbledon. On return to the hotel we found our rooms had not been cleaned. Reception informed us that rooms were only serviced on request but no one had mentioned this at check-in and no information about this in the room. Housekeeping staff were not available at this time. Better communication would be helpful.
