Clean and convenient

I loved the easy check-in process at the Osney Arms. The location is great, close to the train station. Our room and the bathroom were both clean and perfect. We especially liked the breakfast options in the dining room, along with the espresso machine. I would definitely stay here again!

Comfortable room, just as advertised. Got the one with shared bath, only one other room shared. Easy self check-in. Short walk from the train.

Ideal for one night stop over

I loved it! My only complaint was the construction nearby.

This felt a lot more luxurious than the price tag suggested! My room on the top floor was small but perfect for a single guest, the bed was comfy with a choice of pillows, and a kettle and fan were provided in the room, plus lots of free biscuits. The bathroom was shared but only with one other room, and it was huge (and everything was scrupulously clean). The buffet breakfast was well thought through with a nice range of options, including coffee machine and herbal teas, a selection of dairy and plant milks, and a range of cereals (with clear allergy information). The self check in was smooth with clear info provided. Would definitely stay again.

Basically a ‘self-service’ B&B which is somewhat overpriced.

The carpeting in my room needed to be cleaned - to the point where I didn't want to walk on it in bare feet. The room is in desperate need of new paint. That said, the sheets and bathroom were clean, the breakfast was hearty and the breakfast room and kitchen well stocked and clean. The location was a convenient walk to the train station, laundromat, grocer, park, and restaurants.

The host was very pleasant and helpful.

Older accommodation but the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast is self service but there is a really good selection of different items, various kinds of tea and a great coffee maker. We would definitely stay there again.

The guest house was as expected. It was all self service from check in to leaving the only staff member we saw was the cleaner. The room and bathroom were clean and tidy. The food available for breakfast was fine with a good variety Negatives were - The bathroom mirror in room 3 was cracked all across its width. The sink in the kitchen adjacent to the dinning room was dirty and the cleaner seem to wash up the breakfast dishes without cleaning it.

Seen better days. Could do with a clean up and a lick of paint. Breakfast was poor. Only 1 slice of cheese left. Cold meat had run out, as well as boiled eggs. Not worth the money. Mold round the shower

Quirky, slightly chaotic DIY guest house converted from an Edwardian pub. Once we got used to the self-service breakfast in the communal dining room, we found it a really comfortable stay. There's everything you could want for a continental breakfast and a really good coffee machine, With full access to the kitchen it's ideal for heating up an evening takeaway or even cooking a meal. Bitlab, the proprietor was around in the mornings and always helpful. Although our room was almost straight onto the street at ground level, which was slightly disconcerting to start with, there was very little traffic noise (more from other guests actually). Decorated to a good standard, you get the feeling that it was fitted out from an auction house. Nothing matches, but so what. Oxford is the city of bicycles, so come by train or be prepared for park and ride and lots of walking. Don't rely on the four parking spaces at the property! But you can also hire an electric bike or even an electric scooter.

Outside of building misleading. Inside is clean and light. Our double ensuite had a view over the street, was clean and well equipped. Lots of hot water, radiators that can be adjusted, comfortable bed, tea making facilities. Very happy considering the price we paid. Breakfast was ok. Only issue is parking. We were lucky to get a place outside. Also major roadworks on route into town. But overall very good value for money.

Cheap and cheerful, does the basics well and good value for money. Within walking distance from Oxford station and the shopping centre (at a push). Room is small, but cozy, good for a short stay.

A great stay for a night in Oxford. Convenient location walkable to city centre, and parking available with 2 spaces. Good selection of cereal, fruit, bread etc for breakfast as well as tea/coffee etc. Will return on our next night out in Oxford.
