Forenom Hostel Vantaa Airport

The big problem was I did not get the access key code to enter the building and my room. It was not clear if Hotels.com or Forenom Hostel was responsible to send me the key. I had to call to get a key, and it eventually came from Hotels.com. PLEASE do better with this problem, and solve it.

The property is amazing but the only problem being

Have to be pay more attention about the guest who take a cigarretes from the window room.

Needs signposting from airport

Was promised an email containing instructions on how to access my room by 1600 on arrival day. I did not get this email even after 1700 on arrival day. I had to resubmit identity verification through an older email and then was given access, even though I'd already completed that verification.

Its close to the airport but far from Helsinki. Transportation is too costly as I use Uber.

Great location gets you everywhere although check in was rough problems with getting and maintaining the codes to get into the room and facility was made to use back entrances for some reason and other guests almost burning down the building by accident only then did the staff do their jobs & no hot water in the showers that's as fair as I review I can give

The room was incredibly stuffy and too warm with no ventilation system, and only one of the three windows would open to let in some air. The curtains didn’t cover the windows, so there was far too much light coming in the morning, and noise from the road because the window was open.

3rd stay at Forenom Hostel Vantaa Airport. It is a very good hostel. Yes the single room is small but the room and bedding were clean, as were the showers and toilets. It’s a 10 minute walk from the airport. Well lit main roads so felt safe walking from my late night arrival and back to my early morning departure. Key code arrived before checkin time via email and text. Entry keypad for building has been moved from the side wall to the centre of the front door so can’t miss it now. For the price I paid, this is value for money accommodation and I’ll stay here again.

Paper thin walls. Heard snoring from other room and alarm clocks going off in the morning.

It’s hard to rate a hostel that you see nobody, but it was clean and close to the airport

This place is actually quite amazing for a hostel. It's like a cross between a hotel and a hostel. It is well-organized and very clean The place does feel a bit institutional but it is still a very good place to stay as hostels go. It is a bit pricy but, from what I can tell, that seems to be more a factor of the accommodations industry in Helsinki overall - every place I saw was more expensive.

We missed a hair dryer.

This was a typical hostel with simple single rooms with basic amenities. The sheets were crisp and clean and the duvet and blanket was very comfortable. It's a very short walk from the airport and you can take the luggage cart all the way there on pedestrian paths, which are everywhere. I couldn't get the water hot in shower but everything was very clean. It's a great place to day trip out of to downtown Helsinki by the train or the bike share- there are actually bike/walking trails all the way! I ran to downtown and it was about 18 km and there were no places I felt unsafe. I took the train back later at night and it was well lit and safe. There aren't common areas to hang out and the rooms are tiny so its not a place to hang out or meet people. The kitchen isn't really large enough to cook in but you could make due in a pinch. T

Pleasantly surprised at the quality of this budget rate accommodation. Arrived at 11pm and walked down to the hostel from Helsinki Airport. Well lit pavements and took no more than ten minutes. Entry code arrived as promised. It took me a couple of minutes to work out which keypad to enter the code in to get access through the second set of doors (ignore the silver boxes, it’s the small keypad on the right). Had room 406 on the 4th floor. Lift was clean, and keypad to room worked fine, actually better than carrying around a key or keycard. Room was fine, single bed already made and comfortable. Went to sleep quite quickly, and woke up to my alarm going off for my early morning flight. Showers and toilets clean. Shampoo and shower gel provided in shower. Towels and bedding clean. An easy walk back to the airport for my 6am flight. No complaints at all and will use the hostel again at th end of August.

Clean and organized budget hostel! Many restrooms, showers and kitchens throughout different levels. In room microwave, coffee machine, electric hot water kettle, mini fridge, tv and cabinets for your stuff. Literally 15 mins of walking from / to Vantaa Airport terminal. Pedestrian walkway with directing signs. Timely communication with property access info from the host. Definitely will consider in the future. Thanks!

Only one issue. Room door lock was very stiff. I thought I was locked out. Location and basic service so close to airport is very good.

This was a budget stay just for a few hours sleep before a flight, everything was adequate except for bed cleanliness - I found a few hairs wrapped up in the duvet which made me doubt if it had been cleaned at all. That was really off putting. Otherwise only 15 minutes walk to the airport, bring earplugs as you can hear your neighbours along with an eye mask as there are only blinds that do not block out all light, there is a trip hazard at the entrance that I fell over which seems to be a large bolt screw sticking up, there was a coffee maker and fridge in the room along with a TV and the bed was comfortable. But a clean bed is the most important thing and I'm not sure it was. Personally wouldn't feel safe being here alone, communication was only via phone, no reception.
