Appart'City was perfect for our six night stay in Pau. We had all the amenities of an apartment with the services that a hotel provides. The location couldn't have been better on Rue Marechal Joffre with its lovely shops and restaurants.(Highly recommend Resto di Vin) It is a half-block from Place Clemenceau with its carousel and fountain, a block from the Monoprix, and two blocks from the Blvd. Pyrenees. Surprisingly, with all the activities right outside our door, the apartment was very quiet at night. The staff was friendly and helpful and we were able to take advantage of early check-in.

In a very nice area in Pau. Area restricted to autos and takes a bit of work to sort out. Ring in at the post to have the bollards lower. The Google may send you to the wrong area based on address. Search Appart'City. Once inside a very friendly staff is top notch.

We found this hotel very basic and dated. There was no parking available on site, we had to find an alternative to the carpark offered as our car wouldn’t fit in. The microwave fused after one use. The air con didn’t work.

My reservation was for a double bed and I got 2 single NARROW beds.
The beds were creaking.
I chose this hotel because on the website you can select if you want smoking room or non smoking. There are actually no smoking rooms in this hotel!!

Unfortunately a poor experience. The man who checked us in shouldn’t be in the hospitality business. He was cold and when we asked for directions to a laundromat he begrudgingly and very vaguely marked an arrow down a main avenue on a map. There was no WiFi. It was dingy. People smoked right below our balcony. Noisy boulevard-people yelling at night. I changed hotels for the same price and glad to have done so. The original price didn’t include a private bathroom.

I didn't have a phone to contact the hotline and get into my room, around midnight I had to walk to the nearest hotel and spend an extra 250 euros just so I didn't sleep on the sidewalk. I also tried to cancel my reservation immediately after booking but the site kept redirecting me to the main page. Overall experience was terrible and will not use Hotels.com in the future.
