Good location and only about 3-4 mins walk to town centre. Mâcon centre is a little gem with loads of shops.

Brit Hotel Macon is a very clean, modern hotel with convenient location near restaurants. Ishwari curry house is 5 mins walk! Good buffet breakfast with fresh orange juice machine. Free parking outside on street till 8.30am or across the roundabout opposite the station for later departures - only 1 minute walk away. Rooms are a good size and functional rather than luxurious.

First time use of the Brit hotel chain and will use again. So clean and today, great staff and location to the centre of Macon. With all things you get what you pay for but for that extra €10 (total €71) you get a whole lot of comfort.

The receptionist tried to be nice, but it was kind of fake. She was to busy talking to a gentleman when I walked in for check in and asked her questions about the parking. I guess..., I was bordering her somehow. Sorry, I didn’t mean to disturb you-:) When I called from the room and asked her questions about a restaurant near by, she couldn’t even understand. I lived in the USA for almost 13 years and I’m from Germany. Well, it’s a small town after all.... Hotel was nice -:)

All was good until I asked for food and was told nobody was cooking. It was only 7pm and I had just driven from canterbury and was 11 hours into my journey. All I wanted was food and was told to go down into the town as there where loads of restaurants there. If going to this hotel please make sure they have a chef working that day or your going to starve.
