Garden Hotel

Le personnel est accueillant, d'une gentillesse et d'une disponibilité rarement rencontrées. Les chambres sont propres et trés agréables. L'hôtel est trés bien situé.

Quite clean room

Warm and welcoming staff, English speaking, bicycle friendly and Renne is a great mid size city. There’s an amazing art deco public pool very close and great creperie, I really enjoyed my few nights there.

Nice budget hotel. Super friendly staff. Good location for centre of town and the station.

Bien mais quelques points décevant dont j’ai fait part au checkout. Je regrette beaucoup le fait d’avoir du mal à finir mes deux nuits correctement en raison d’une mauvaise isolation phonique. Les voyageurs manquant globalement de discrétion dans un établissement ou l’on espère y trouver du sommeil. Le lit était par contre de bonne qualité et confortable. Mais une légère mauvaise odeur dans la chambre m’a dérangé des l’arrivée, probablement les moisissures dans la salle de bain et les wc. J’ai apprécié la bouilloire et ce qui va avec. Le personnel était agréable. Et le parking à proximité bien pratique. Je n’ai pas profité du petit déjeuner je ne peux donc pas en juger.

The Classic Studio The bed was comfortable, and the shower was really nice. The whole place was very welcoming and clean. The front desk staff were helpful and polite. I had a lovely stay.

Le personnel est très sympathique et a même accepté que je garde la chambre jusque midi. Cependant, je dois reconnaître que je n'ai pas passé une bonne nuit à cause du manque d'isolation sonore de la chambre. Le bar en bas était bruyant mais ce qui m'a vraiment dérangé c'est d'entendre les voisions de chambre dans le couloir, ouvrir les portes (dans la nuit et tôt le matin) a plus de 150 euros la nuit, cela n'ait pas acceptable. à 60 euros la nuit je n'aurait rien dit bien sur. Le lendemain j'étais à Quimper et je n'ai pas eu ces problèmes alors que la chambre était à 76 euros. J'ai même bénéficié d'un vrai lit double alors qu' à Rennes c'était 2 lits simples, ce qui fait qu'ils se désolidarise et c'est désagréable.

Hôtel confortable, Très bon accueil le soir ainsi qu'au petit déjeuner. Equipe au top. Et très bien situé, au calme proche de la gare à pied et proche du centre ville à pied également. Bons restos à proximité.

Great little hotel just a stones throw away from the old town and central district. We had great clean rooms obviously recently decorated and very comfortable. good secure parking for our cars. Only problem was Tuesday night as there was a busy and noisy bar close to the rooms on the front street, Wednesday night was quiet so don’t know if this was a regular noise night.

Children loved it

While the actual apartment was nice, it was hard to get past the initial arrival, when I discovered a very lived-in apartment that had not been cleaned beforehand. I had to notify the staff, then leave for a few hours to allow them to clean it. That has never happened to me before at a hotel. The breakfast was ok, but the fruit was old and somewhat rotten and not all the options were fresh or desirable. While I don't expect everyone in non-English speaking countries to speak English, the front desk staff not speaking English made my interactions difficult at times. I would absolutely not stay here again.

Loved the separate apartment and the secure parking. The staff was very friendly, and the breakfast was excellent. The apartment was large, really a suite, and one could have made and eaten all meals there.

We stayed 2 nights at the Garden Hotel. It was very well located in Rennes, which was important to us. An easy 10 min walk to the train and metro station, and the same in the opposite direction for the fine arts museum and outdoor mall. Our room for 3 felt a bit small, but that is on me, as the room size was given in the details. The staff was extremely helpful in providing emergency information to my husband when I became ill, and generally pleasant as we went in and out. Our room was very clean well kept. The bed was comfortable, the shower was very nice with hot water for both of us and plenty of pressure. My only real complaint was when we returned from a daytrip, the radiator had been turned off in our room with no way for us to turn it back on. The same with the bathroom hot air heater - no remote. We should have spoken with the desk, but it was late and I was ill. We did find a small portable room heater in the armoire that did the trick, so we were fine. We did not take breakfast there, so I cannot speak to that. All-in-all, our stay during the cold, wet early winter season was good, the location and staff excellent, and the room clean and relatively comfortable.

Room was far too small, kettle too small, bathroom ok although floor was dirty and no toilet roll or tissues. No window in room only one in the door. There was no privacy as people were having breakfast outside our door. We would certainly NOT recommend this place.
