It is a very quaint hotel. Excellent location the staff is very friendly and helpful (extra points for the breakfast lady). It’s in a very busy quarter but the location itself is very quiet. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby. There are 2 metro stations nearby. We used Alèsia, you can take metro 4 there to Chatelet and from there hop on another train to all the attractions. Very convenient. The room was nice, airco worked great, big bathroom with plenty hot water and daily room service. Only thing that I didn’t like is that we had a ‘double’ bed which was basically to twin beds pushed together. No cuddling there. This is easily resolved with a good topmatress though. The breakfast was really good and well priced. It’s buffet style and had plenty choice. And for tea fans 🙋‍♀️they have teapots and a variety of loose leaf teas.

The receptionist tried to double charge the room to my dad just because he didn’t speak English or French, claiming that hotel did not receive the payment from Expedia. when I get involved over the phone, the receptionist try to make it that the money was not transferred. After argument over the phone and told him that I have a receipt from Expedia and statement from the bank, the receptionist back off. It was obvious the receptionist tried to double charge my dad and used him because he doesn’t speak English or French.

The hotel is very well located, very clean, and the room is comfortable. My only comments are regarding a few small issues. On the first day, the hand soap ran out (after housekeeping had already come by; it seems they don't check these things, which is odd), so I had to request a refill. The following day, the shower gel and shampoo also ran out; I had to ask for those as well, and the replacement they provided lasted only two days. One evening I asked at the front desk whether the tap water was drinkable. The staff member said yes, then told me to wait a moment and came back with two small bottles of Evian. I thought it was a kind gesture. However, at checkout, I was charged for those two bottles. I don't think that was necessary. These are really minor details; but if addressed, they would make the stay even better! Small fixes that could go a long way. Overall, the hotel is great and the location is excellent; I would definitely recommend it.

Pros: Great location in a safe neighborhood close to train and many nice local shops/restaurants. Day time staff was extremely nice. Room was clean and bed was relatively comfy. Cons: The Room was much smaller than shown on the images. It was advertised as being sound proof but I could literally hear my neighbors talking in the next room. You have to give your room key to the front desk staff every time you leave and they lock the front door at night. There were times when I had to wait for staff to come back to the desk before getting my key and going to my room. The night staff is rather unfriendly and made a comment about me returning late? Overall: the room was tidy, functional and reasonably priced. But I wouldn't stay here again.

On the hottest weekend in Paris (30+). The air conditioning in the hotel broke. This made our stay very unpleasant unfortunately. Our room was a sauna. There was no fan or arrangement to make up for the AC breaking. We were told the morning of our check in with no time to find other accommodations. Other than this, the hotel was clean and well located and had real charm. I would stay again if they had AC during the summer.

It was an okay choice for what is a very expensive city to stay in. The location is pretty convenient as it's close to a couple of metro stations, and plenty of food options and a supermarket nearby. We were in the family room on the ground floor which was very basic. The accessible shower left water all over the floor so you'd need to be very careful if you had toddlers or young children in there as the floor stays wet and slippery afterwards. The curtain rod fell out of the wall when we got there and wasn't fixed for a couple of days, waking us up in the middle of the night when it fell down again. We had to ask for hot water for tea as there's no kettle in the room either. They also make you leave your key at the front desk every time you go out, which I found super strange. If you can afford it, I'd suggest finding somewhere a little nicer to stay. But if you're just looking for a basic bed, this will fit the bill.
