Hôtel & Spa Le Maury, The Originals Boutique, Vannes

Pros: good location for walking to old town and the train station. Very friendly staff. Nicely decorated, comfortable bed.

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights in what was supposedly the largest room and it had an incredibly strange layout. The toilet and closet were by the front door and then you walked down a hallway to get to the bedroom and bathroom. The bathroom was large but again the layout was strange. Also, the room was on the 5th floor but the elevator only goes to the 4th floor, so we had to walk up a spiral staircase (with all our luggage) to get to our room. We were pleasantly surprised to see the bathroom had a large jacuzzi tub and walk in shower. The double sink vanity was also a nice touch. Overall the hotel was good. It's on the perimeter of the historical center (~3-5 minute walk to get there). There wasn't much charm in the hotel or the room but it was pretty clean and they provided bath robes and slippers. The AC worked and the windows blocked out the sound. And we got a nice view of the historic center. The bed was comfortable and large. There was no shampoo or conditioner (it was a body wash/shampoo mix) and there was no body lotion - just something to keep in mind. The staff were very nice and helpful (a little too helpful). I asked for a second keycard the following day since we only received one at checkin. I offered to show them my license, but they didn't want to see it. They asked for no info and just handed me over a key. A different woman who checked us in, in the evening was a hoot and helped us park the car (the garage is very narrow but it is France).

Very convenient, 10 mins walk to the train station and close to the beautiful city center. Definitely easy to recommend.

Be aware that parking on site has to be pre-booked. To use the steam room and Sauna is not included in the room price. The reception staff were very helpful and the room was clean. The centre of the town is only a few minutes away.

I loved my stay here for three nights. Street parking was convenient, and it's an easy walk to the walled city. They serve a very good breakfast and have a bar for a nightcap. I loved the lay out of the room. The people at reception were kind and helpful.

Wi fi signal was weak at a time I needed it most for a Zoom call for work. Otherwise, I have been very satisfied.

Friendly staff, close to center, clean and good size rooms

This hotel isn't located on an especially lovely block, but it is within a block of the walled old town and harbor. We stayed during the pandemic of 2020 and they did a very good job of protecting their guests while still delivering in person front desk and breakfast services. The room was clean and comfortable.

Hotel in great position to explore old city. Staff knowledgeable, helpful and spoke good English which made it easier. Room a good size and quiet.

Charming and thoroughly helpful staff. Easy....I mean really easy check in...good value breakfast. The room was a little jaded around the edges, but we felt the value for money was outstanding...we’d stay again. If you want honest, real and friendly charm, and don’t need tiny bottles of fancy shampoos in your room, this is the place to stay in Vannes.

Close to town centre, you can walk to the harbour in 10 minutes, parking at hotel means no worries about where to leave the car, there is a small charge for this but's it's woth it.

Nice little hotel, a 5-minute walk away from the Vannes old town area, in a good commercial neighborhood. The room was small, on par with French size standards, and the bathroom was large. It was comfortable and clean. We did not have breakfast on site as there is a bakery across the street. Parking is on the street. Staff was helpful and friendly. Would stay there again.

The Hotel is small but beautifully decorated and maintained. The location is good, being a five minute walk to the medieval quarter and walled city. Parking is on the street and is metered, but was not a problem.

Walking distance to the old town and marina. A little dated with no air conditioning.

The hotel was very clean and modern and the staff was very helpful and friendly. It was a short distance from the centre of the old town as well. A perfect place to stay while in Quimper

There is limited hotel parking, but we got spots on the street without an issue. The reception sent us to the bakery across the street for change for the meter -a bit ridiculous. The elevator is so small that only one of us could fit with a big suitcase, and we are not big people! The room was clean and nicely appointed, but very small. In addition, the noise transmission between rooms was annoying; fortunately our fellow guests did not blare TVs and the like, yet we could hear lots of movement around us.

Visiting family in Vannes. Very welcoming Reception Staff. A very basic cheap & cheerful ageing hotel with small rooms. It's main advantage being it is very close to the centre of Vannes.
