The hotel was a bit run down and not in the best condition. The walls between the rooms were too thin and you can hear a lot of noise from outside. The room was ok but very outdated and not very comfortable. Good enough for our stay but won’t be staying there again.
The location was great though and close to everything in the city and transportation.

The hotel was quiet. The breakfast was wonderful. But the water was lukewarm, AC was barely working, brown towels were like sandpaper, mold in the bath tub, bath fixtures were rusty. The location was great.

Excellent location. Within walking distance of tram to/from airport and close to old town. Elevator was tiny and could only take 2 people with luggage. Breakfast was on the pricy side, but was okay. Staff were wonderful and answered all questions.

Hotel was impeccably clean.
The location is in La Rambla so it’s busy full of life and you will always find something to see and eat and do.
You don’t hear the noises within the room too.

Hotel Helvetique room is unclean with untidy towels that have an unpleasant odor(vomit smell). It also has limited space for movement due to being quite small. Additionally, the hotel is poorly maintained, and the building itself is old and not well taken care of. To add further, the bathroom is not adequately stocked and has unsanitary towels. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! They promised me a refund but did not give it to me. Won’t answer my messages. The hotel is filthy. The hallways smell. There was hair all over the beds when we checked in. I went to the reception. He said there was nothing he could do. I complained and he said to stop back later for some new sheets. When I returned they were in my room. They would not make the beds. The three sheets they left were filthy. One had good stains, one had foot prints from a boot, and one had bodily fluids. When I went down to complain he did not think any my thing was wrong. After three calls to the manager she said she would refund me as I was NOT staying there. Never heard back or got my refund. Best part, he was speaking to her in French and she asked my nationality? What? How is that even relevant. STAY AWAY! And the parking is not close.
