Hôtel Tilde

I've never been to France so I was caught off guard by the size of the room. I am 5"5 and weigh 170lbs. The shower was very compact and when I moved around; i kept bumping into the shower handle and the water temperature would change from hot to cold.

Let's start off with the positive. The hotel staff are genuine, and very accommodating - they will do their best to ensure finding your way around Paris and using the Metro/RER is a breeze, they are friendly too... My only problem (and the reason this is not 5 star) is unless you're in the beautiful centre of Paris, the further you go from the centre, the dirtier Paris gets, and more dangerous it can start to feel for some... I'm all for experience, this hotel would be worth every penny if external to the hotel was of the same standard as the best parts of Paris...dont let this put you off staying, it is a very convenient location, for first time visitors just be aware and ready to accept the fact Paris has its own charm, along with its less than charming side... Pros: >air conditioning (turn this on w/ sound of sea videos from YouTube to beat the traffic sound as you are right next to the road, I'm a light sleeper and it works a treat), >gym (if you're a gym person, you'll have it to yourself and may have one of your more memorable gym sess's here), >Convient location - can walk to the Louvre in 30 mins, or catch the Metro which is 2 minutes from hotel - shops and supermarket 2mins from hotel (did see a rat in store. This is part of the less charming side of Paris I mentioned above)

This place was absolutely amazing. It is definitely true what people say about the size of rooms in this hotel (TINY), but you are in the middle of Paris! I personally did not spend much time in the room. Other than the fact that the room was small, it was clean, modern, the air conditioning work, and the location really can't be beat. We fortunately had folding bicycles to get around town, and everything we wanted to see was around a 20 minute ride away. If you want to take the Metro, it is right outside of the hotel. The parking that they offered outside of the hotel was extremely close and affordable. The hotel on paper may only be two or three stars, but they definitely provide a five star experience.

Nice hotel

Comfortable, and excellent & helpful staff.

Friendly helpful staff, but slow wifi. Was along way from places which wouldnt have mattered if there hadnt been train strikes. Obviously it the hotel's fault and staff tried to find ways to assist with this.

Convenient location good place to stay out of the city

Good location. 100m from metro. Supermarket nearby.

This hotel ended up being farther from the center of the city than I thought, but the metro station was just a block away. The room was definitely smaller than pictured but it was clean. I was surprised at how loud the metro was from the 6th floor. You could hear and feel the rumbling each time it passed through. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Definitely appreciated the elevator!

Convenient location, close to metro, walkable canal district, plenty of restaurants and grocery options around. Friendly staff. Quaint room, clean shower, sufficient bed -- my only issue was the stains on my carpet which are probably a challenge to keep up with given it's a light grey color.

Close to multiple Metro stations. Food/drink options available within walking distance.

Hotel Tilde is a really nice, cosy hotel, in a good location- 2min from metro station-right next to a super market- 25min from city centre with metro! All reception staff was really helpful and kind. There is an elevator to the higher floors. The room was small, but really stylish, cosy and clean with good facilities (even a nespresso machine)! The bathroom is ok with small shower and good amenities! The mattress is really good! Parc de Buttes-chaumont, close to the hotel is really nice to visit. Overall a really nice stay! Totally recommended! We will surely return when we visit Paris again.

Pleasant stay, except for the toilet which smelled but we were given a bottle of spray to use. Nevertheless, location wise brilliant and couldn't fault anything else!

Brilliant helpful staff and the perfect location to have a good city break in Paris

Amazing stay. Lovely comfy room, not big but not small. Bathroom modern and clean. The room smells amazing!!!! The area is awesome so many options for food. Some of the reviews made me hesitant at first because people were calling the area shady, but it’s a lovely neihborhood with people of all ethnicities and races. I’m assuming the people that called the neighborhood questionable weren’t expecting to see minorities. You are expected to leave your room key with reception when you leave the hotel but it’s not a must. Overall great experience! I will definitely stay again!

It is a really nice tiny hotel! Room was clean, the localization suited my perfectly, breakfast was also tasty (though would have been better with some more vegetarian options - like even some tomatoes or at least cucumber for the bread, not only ham). It was all good, though I was refused to get a receipt - as I was told booking through Hotels.com means it is already paid and the hotel staff didn't want to give me their receipt -I don't really understand why. It's also a bit challenging with the parking - each time you use the parking place you first have get the keys to open the gate, go to the parking place -which is across the road, get the car, and then come back to the hotel and give the keys back, and the whole thing took a bit of time going back a forth to the hotel and parking place.
