Nürnberger Hof

Plus: The room had AC, that is often not the case in Germany's old and/or historic buildings. The room was big and comfortable. The location is Unterer Markt/ lower part of the market. The little beer garden is convenient and the food is good. Minus: Breakfast at 16 E a person.... since we know our way around, we just went to the cafes attached to our favorite bakery. The cleanliness of the bathroom. The calk lines along the shower doors are black. They have not been cleaned or wiped in a LONG while. I simply sprayed cleaner and rinsed it .. yes, some stuff came off but it did not clean it up, why because it has not been done in a long time..... (My friends, I live in a subtropical climate I deal with spores flying and turning the water line black/or red (bacteria) .. what do you do ... you clean it, spray something like vinegar, bleach, hydrogen peroxide and give it a quick over with a hand brush. NOT a big deal, easy to maintain.) Also the trim on the sink/to wall was removed and the dried construction glue was still there. Come on ... this is an easy fix .. yeah coincidentally I also do all the repairs at home. At the overnight pricing, this should ALL not be an issue! Don't make excuses, fix it. Why, I am not the first person to have a cleanliness issue with the bathroom.

The hotel is right in town. We could easily walk everywhere. The room was very clean and cozy. It was on the second floor , but we got help with our luggage. One plus was the air conditioner in the room that kept the temperature just right . We were there in August so outside was pretty hot. The breakfast was a buffet that had everything delicious you could think of. I would absolutely stay there again.

Nice hotel in a bustling small town with plenty of food options. Beautiful rooms and a bar/restaurant down stairs in a lil courtyard. Wish we could have spent more time there

Just a great place to stay. Original building, on the center of Altdorf. English speaking staff. Very friendly and helpful.

The room was very spacious which you would expect from a suite room but consists of one room only. Nice furniture and interiors. I was really displeased by the lack of a fridge! In summer you need one. In the end of May it was fine without air conditioner but what would happen in hot summer nights... On the market square there are a lot of restaurants which are popular until late in the evening. And people drink and talk by loud voices so if you open the window, which you do in warm time, it becomes rather noisy. Hotel parking is limited in quantity and awkward to get a car in and out.

great value for money. good evening meal with a very good German breakfast. The room was clean if a little small.

A small quaint town 30 minutes from Nuremberg. A charming hotel surrounded by pubs and restaurants. Very friendly people and great size room. No air conditioning though but they did provide two fans.

Two people in my party fell ill on the day of my checkin. This hotel has a very early checkin time. I tried to call to make other arraignments but they did not even have anyone to answer the phone. I stay in hotel a lot and I expect far better service than this. I refund request has been declined and I am perusing other avenues to rectify this problem.

Had a very late check-in and even reception was closed, this went quite well. Means very attentive service. WIFI a bit slow.

This is not really a hotel, more of a large B&B. The room I got was nothing like those shown in the pictures. It had 2 single beds squeezed into small attic room and a tiny ensuite that you had to duck to get into the shower. The reception only operates morning and evening so if you arrive in the afternoon you will have to wait around. None of the local restaurants serve lunch after 2pm either so it's difficult to kill time waiting on them opening. The "hotel" has very little parking so be prepared to walk a bit if it's busy. Also make sure you have cash as they didn't accept credit card for my breakfast or dinner.

Extremely friendly staff, nice clean comfortable rooms. Meals were superb. Will definitely be booking for next year.

We stopped at this hotel for one night on our journey from Austria, It was a lovely market town and very traditional.. The hotel staff were very friendly and we had an excellent meal in the restauarant. The breakfast was also very good. The room we had was adequate but could do with a little bit of updating.. Overall I would recommend this hotel

stayed for one night what a great place altdorf is a hidden gem. The hotel is very nice with rooms large, a nice beer garden and restaurant .The staff are always there to help and are very kind. great service well done x

Nice hotel in the centre of a small old town. We had the same room on the picture - very romantic looking over the central square. Very clean and quiet. Very good breakfast. Staff is very friendly and polite. We will be back with pleasure.

Small family run hotel, good restuarant downstairs, wonderful breakfast great, very famous nurnberg sausages, friendly manager/owner Good experience. The owner/manager personally took me to work the next day to make sure I did not get lost

One Night stopover for appointment in Nürnberg the next day. The hotel is situated in a really beautiful village (very typically Bavarian) although I arrived late, so didn't really get to see a lot of it. The staff were really helpful, and very friendly. I'd had a very stressful day, but being warmly greeted by a beautiful woman with a great big smile really took the edge off it. The food in the restaurant was nice, and the service was great (from the same woman who checked me in. I think I might be a little bit in love with her, but I digress...) Comfy rooms, reliable internet, and a nice breakfast. What's not to like? Would certainly stay here again.
