What Guests Say About Their Stay

The Radisson is a wonderful hotel in very nice surroundings. It was very convenient for us as it is within walking distance of the Villa Sorgenfrei where we had a family event. The breakfast buffet is amazing with variety. Very friendly staff.

Radebeul is a really nice suburb of Dresden and the Radisson is a great place to stay whilst there. The grounds of the hotel are well kept and the rooms we stayed in were clean and spacious. On the whole, we had a very enjoyable stay but I do have a few minor criticisms. The main one is that the pillows were very lumpy and uncomfortable (please buy new ones)! We were on the first floor of Anna Villa and there were the usual inconsiderate guests slamming doors and seemingly stamping their feet above and below us. Parking is €16 per day in the hotel’s garage. For a two night stay, we decided to park on a local side street and save ourselves €32! The last criticism was that the spa charges guests for entry. It is ‘only’ €5 per person (€15 for a family) but I have stayed in a lot of hotels for my job and this is the first time I have experienced a hotel charging guests to use the pool/sauna. I understand charging non-guests but it didn’t sit right to charge your own guests for something that most hotels provide for free. We did not pay for breakfast as part of the room package and if we had wanted to eat breakfast in the hotel, it was €11 for children and €21.50 for adults, which we felt was excessive and so ate breakfast elsewhere. I stress however that we did have an enjoyable stay and would certainly book this hotel again next time we visit Dresden. My review is genuinely intended to be constructive criticism as no hotel ever gets everything right all the time

It is an old hotel that needs maintenance, repairs, and renovations. However, the price is excellent, and it’s very conveniently located. The spa looks impressive outside, but we didn’t use it.

We’ve come here every year, it’s family friendly, has good connections to public transport and is in a green, lovely location. Disappointing service this time, the room did not get cleaned, apparently you have to book room cleaning?! Even with booking the room wasn’t cleaned, no clean towels or soap refill, sink blocked, dirty floors… for a Radison Blue and four stars very poor services. I complained daily, at the end I had enough. Not coming back here, it’s ruined our holiday having to moan about service that should be in place without complaints. I raised it today at check out again, yes, I got an apology but it’s just not good. We will not return!

The hotel is nice but looks a bit oldish, like 90's: no smart key, separate bath tube and toilette, carpet ... but very clean and in order ! we find a bit strange that in such a big hotel in the late afternoon there was just one receptionist juggling different problems & people. The SPA costs only 5 euro. Finally, it is close too the S bahn, only 12-15 min on walk and not 25 as google mapshows.

The area is beautiful and the city centre is easy to reach. The service and staff are great, always willing to help. We return every year, always opt for a room with breakfast, which is delicious. It’s a great place for families, child friendly with playground on site. Overall good, but the cleaning / room service could be better. I actually approached a cleaner asking to clean the room again. I raised this before, please can management address the issue with the room cleaning.

Booked this hotel on the basis it’s a Radisson Blu and they are normally very good, but unfortunately this one is the exception, hidden charges ie for parking and use of the pool. Poor quality beer from the bar at premium prices. Restaurant closed at 7pm even though website says 10pm. Very tired room could do with a make over or at the very least have the carpets cleaned and a touch of paint. Empty bottle of wine had been left in the room from previous guest. No milk for the coffee making facilities. The bed wasn’t to bad but I ordered a double bed room and got a twin with the 2 single beds pushed together. I’ve stayed in a lot better and far cheaper guest houses.

Cleaning service was poor, we stayed for ten and never had our sheets changed. The bathroom was not cleaned, maximum were fresh towels and empty coffee were left dirty in the room. I would have expected more. The staff are friendly and helpful, the place is great for children and the pool is great. Dinner during the week was disappointing, there were only two items to chose and often no buffet because of low numbers of guests. Overall a pleasant stay but the cleaning need to improve.

Friendly staff , quiet comfortable room , lovely peaceful gardens with nice spa and pool area. Travelling with a large vehicle which did not fit in the underground parking, but an alternative was swiftly and helpfully found
