Absolutely lovely place. Excellent location. Fairly quiet little village with lots of locals going about their business. Short stroll down to the beach area with lots of choice of restaurants. All very friendly and obliging. Hotel Mirtilos is extremely clean and well run with lovely staff. Smashing pool area with choice of snacks and meals, again very clean and well tended. Would 100% stay here again.

*Good size rooms and bathroom,clean,very nice pool and pool area.
*the prices at the bar were the same,or even more expensive than for example at the bar with the sea view,or any other nice bars around(usually the prices from the hotel bars are slightly cheaper)
*the staff from the reception isn't very helpful/welcoming except for Stavros which we thought was a great guy
*at the check in we've been told/mentioned that the bar has everything (in other words "you're not allowed to bring anything with you at the pool if it is not bought from the bar) and I've seen one of the girls from the bar telling off to a family with 2 children because the were having Haribo' and some crisps and they should eat that in their room and not by the pool. I'm pretty sure this comes from the owners as I don't think is very pleasant for the staff to be put in this kind of situations.

The hotel is overpriced for the quality we got in return. I'm comparing this property with other properties in Greece, and the rooms are a bit strange, acceptable bathroom but a bit old rooms. For one night is OK, for more nights look somewhere else.
As many other places in Greece, pool is not usable after 8:00pm (I always find this troublesome, after a hot day at the beach is when it makes sense to use the pool).

We’d contacted the hotel about our late arrival, they had confirmed they would be around for our arrival. Even though our flight was delayed they were still there. They were very welcoming, provided us with a lovely room and information about the hotel. They arranged late check-out too. This hotel is the perfect place for anyone wanting to explore the west coast. Even though it’s a small family run hotel they are very professional. They provide breakfast at extra cost 7€ per day, buffet style. We didn’t use the pool area but it looked very good. The car park is next door to the hotel and there is street parking nearby. There are many small tavernas nearby. The sea front is less than 5 minutes away. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

This was our first visit to Crete and we were very happy with our stay at Mirtilos Studios. The room was comfortable and clean and the staff were friendly. The small kitchenette in the room was well equipped, and we were able to prepare breakfasts, sandwiches and light meals which was great as the fresh local ingredients are of such good quality. The air conditioning worked well and there was a nice view from the balcony. The pool and bar area was also very nice. The town itself is quite small and was quiet when we were there in May, but there are several nice places to eat in the town and along the beach. We liked the Fish Tavern by the seafront and had several meals there. We hired a car which was useful for visiting the beaches at Elafonissi and Falassarna, however we were also very happy with the local beach at Mavros Molos which is only about 10mins walk away. The weather was warm but slightly hazy and overcast while we were there, not sure whether this was just bad luck or due to the close proximity of Kissamos to the mountains behind, however it was still very pleasant.

It was an excellent choice for a family of 4 with two young ones. We self catered and had a small kitchenette in the room which was enough for the purpose. The pool is excellent and very clean.
Place is 5 min walk from the beach and restaurants and 2 min from the shops. Ronda are very quiet.
Stay are very helpful and friendly. I usually had contact with Stavros who was at reception and helped us out with the information needed for the trip.
Overall definitely recommended

We had an amazing time staying at mirtilos studios and apartments, the staff are so friendly and helpful giving you advice on where to go and how to get to the beaches and lagoon that are a bit further out. The surrounding area is lovely with restaurants all along the beach front. The pool is gorgeous, we had a lovely trip!

Lovely quite hotel. The hotel was very clean and modern. Rooms are cleaned daily. Hotel staff are very helpful and friendly and will do anything to help you. Turn left out of the hotel and you are in the square with lots of bars and restaurants and bakery's etc. Beach is 5 min walk away with more bars and restaurants. If you want peace and quite then this is the place to go to. Locals are all very welcoming and friendly. It's a beautiful quaint town with lots of history and character. Great base to explore local gorges. I would definitely go back!

Noisy location , next to a church so we were woke up by the loud bells . Room was average . Bed was not comfortable and the fridge in the room was very noisy during the night. The toilet was clean but shower was horrible with no where to attach it on the wall so not great.
Service was very poor and slow as well their wifi. Maria check us in and out very slowly as if she was doing us a massive favor. Pulled a massive face when we said we were going to pay by card and was very pushy for us to go out and take money out . What service is this ? We didn't pay for breakfast but decided to go and check the offerings . In the restaurant more unhappy staff faces and a horrible selection of cold items . We decided to go out and have breakfast in one of many cute restaurants/ cafes 1 min away from the hotel, much better. I stay in hotels regularly and for the first time ever I was relieved by leaving the place .
