My daughter and I really enjoyed this hotel. The price value was excellent and the free breakfast options were delicious and made to order. Sometimes the free wifi was unreliable but can’t really complain since the overall experience was great.

Wish they would let me know if I left my laptop there. Hopefully it is.

Overall, we had a good experience at Hotel Nixon, but there are a few things future guests should know. We booked through Expedia, whose photos showcase the beautiful main building, so we naturally expected our room to be there. Instead, we were placed in a separate annex next door with its own entrance. The annex has no reception—just a small room with a staff member available to assist guests. The lobby, breakfast area, beautiful courtyard, and rooftop shown in the photos are all located in the main building. Our room faced a neglected interior patio with overgrown grass, which was very different from what was advertised. Breakfast is included but very basic, with only two choices, no cold juice or ice, and no flexibility for substitutions. Free parking is also subject to availability, so if no space is available, you’ll need to pay for parking elsewhere until one opens up. The hotel’s biggest advantage is its excellent location. It’s within walking distance of the Santa Catalina Arch, restaurants, cafés, pharmacies, and shops. Once we parked our car, we never needed it again. The area is lively, family-friendly, and perfect for exploring Antigua on foot. The staff was wonderful—friendly, welcoming, and very customer-oriented. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but I believe the Expedia listing should more clearly explain the annex accommodations and parking policy.

The Internet is bad. But it is a great small hotel to relaxing, head to the rooftop sit down and relax and look at the volcanoes that surround you. Walking to the various locations was easy to get there. There is some construction going on on that street because it is a main street but other than that I enjoyed the place, and the people were absolutely friendly.

You get what you pay for. The bed was uncomfortable , hot water takes time to get warm. We had an unpleasant encounter with an item that went missing from our room. Staff come in the room even when we put the sign outside not to come in.

First of all, I reserved for 2 adults and 2 children. I did not know that for each room only covers 2 breakfast so I ended up paying for 2 more breakfast. Even though, supposedly to be free breakfast for all occupants in the room. Secondly, there is no parking onsite in the hotel. They offered parking about 200 meters away from premises with time restrictions. Get in before 10pm and get out after 6am. Once again, not telling the truth about hotel amenities. Very disappointing

Cecilia and her staff are the best! We had a group of 9 in four rooms and had the best weekend! We would definitely stay here again. The rooms are comfy and well appointed. The location is great and the staff if very accomodating! 10/10

Our stay at Hotel Nico was okay overall. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. The only thing I didn’t like was that when we checked in, we were given rooms in a completely separate building on the other side of the hotel. It felt disconnected from the main hotel, which was inconvenient and not what we expected. Other than that, our stay was fine.

I have statyed a In many hotels in Antigua and this has become my favorite overall. Price, location and amenities. All were fantastic.

Personal amable, desayuno muy bueno, los jardines y terraza del hotel son muy bonitos. Solo que en la habitación donde estuve necesita mantenimiento en la madera del techo del baño (tiene tèrmitas)

Very Clean

Pasamos una estadía increíble. Fueron muy atentos y respetuosos. La habitación estaba impecable. Nos sentimos seguros en todo momento. Es un lugar muy tranquilo y está en una excelente ubicación. Los recomiendo 100%

everything was good except on the breakfastthey manue say wat they have but they didn’t have what the menu says all they have was black beans eggs so will be beter go out the hotel to a restaurant!
