I had over all a great experience, my only complaint is THE MAN at the reception desk is not smiling/no emotions almost feels like he does not want to be there to help you, however the woman at the reception desk was a sweetheart. I think the management team should guide him on how to act with customers!

The location is excellent for the area—secluded, quiet, and peaceful. Housekeeping did a good job, and the room was cleaned thoroughly each day. That said, the rooms are quite dated and in need of an update. They are also not soundproof, which noticeably affects comfort. Overall, the accommodations feel tired and not modern. The pool area was the highlight of the stay. It was intimate, quiet, and a very pleasant place to spend the day, especially with the view and the constant breeze. Breakfasts need significant improvement. They are well below the standard of many comparable resorts. In addition, having a safe in every room should be standard and is a notable omission. The grounds would benefit from more vegetation and far less constant raking of the concrete. The ongoing noise is irritating and disrupts the relaxed vacation atmosphere. There are also roosters on the property, which make sleeping difficult throughout the night. This may be common across the island, but it still impacts the overall experience.

The room was spotless and very comfortable. But if you could decrease the amount of cleaning product or type of cleaning product. The smell in my room was too strong for the whole first night. The cost of transport is also quite high in my opinion.

Other than the pool area, the resort itself is rather dated. Amenities were those plastic packets of shampoo/conditioner and mini wrapped bars of soap--what you would typically get in a cheap motel but a resort?! The mini frig in the room was good and you get one 500ml bottle of water that you refill at water stations in the common areas. The dining area attendants were great and attentive, the front desk/reception staff were ok except for the young guy with an attitude--thinking he must be the owner's son or something--not helpful nor friendly. The van drivers were good, friendly and informative. Lastly, I have dived the world over. Own my own gear, tanks bcd, 7mm wetsuit, and dry suit, etc. And, dove in Sept 2025 cleaning my boat hull and replacing zincs. The gal at their dive shop wanted me to take a refresher course...insulting when I have cave and wrecked dived, dove through the lava tubes in hawaii, etc. So...I went and dove with another dive shop even though I had wanted to patronize seagrape's ...there are plenty to choose from...like resorts.

Seagrape was great. The location was ideal being quiet (away from the cruise ship crowds) but a 5 minute walk to town and good restaurants. The snorkeling was great from right in front of the resort although not for beginners or the faint of heart as it was rough getting in and out and there was a lot of boat traffic. Make sure you borrow a visibility float from the dive shop before going in. The pool deck was beautiful and had enough seating. The other common areas were comfortable and quiet and the room was good for the price. Not fancy but clean and well maintained (I subsequently learned this is not a given in Roatan) The AC was well maintained and worked well to keep the humidity down in our room. The Wi-Fi was spotty but they said they are looking for a new system. One caution. We asked the front desk to arrange a couple of rides for us to a garden and a church. They overcharged us by about twice what the going rate has been.

Everything was nice and smooth until I got a call from Tirsa, the manager, while I was waiting for my ferry to depart. She asked me if I took a bedspread cover by “mistake” and put it in my carry on because the maid didn’t see it. I was not only upset but mortified and told her that you don’t put “by mistake” a bedspread in your carry on. I told her that I used it on my bed to make it thicker because I was cold. I had to call her back to ask her if the maid found it, of course she did. I asked her to train the staff better because you can’t assume and accuse no one from stealing if they are NOT SURE! asking someone if by mistake they took and put in your luggage something, it’s accusing of stealing without using the word. That was a big insult to my integrity. On another note, the breakfast it’s limited. No healthy or vegetarian options.

Beautiful grounds around hotel. Would have preferred more typical Honduran breakfast, more plantain, refried beans, etc.instead of French toast. Enjoyed the pool. Short walk to restaurants, nice beach, grocery stores, shops. Small fridge in room, no microwave. Would love to stay here again.

This was our second stay at Seagrape! The staff was so welcoming and helped us with any need. We had nice breakfasts each day, thank you Judith for being so sweet! My husband and I have only been snorkelers but we put our trust in the diving staff and became PADI certified for open water! Thank you Ricardo, he came in to train us on short notice and helped adapt to our needs. He made us comfortable and helped us learn the skills needed. We will be back to Seagrape this summer for a week stay including a diving package.
