A four night break at an apartment here and it was an ideal location for us. A warm welcome from the team after a late flight and close to the centre of the city. Highly reccomend and we'll hopefully be back

The hostel is decorated imaginatively, the staff is extremely helpful, providing anything you request if it is available. Only 2 downsides:
1. It is a very old building with no elevator. If you can't walk 4 flights of stairs, this isn’t the place for you.
2. They do NOT take credit cards, even though all the booking websites say they do.They only accept cash or wire transfer and they only let you know this on the day of check-in. They also list the price in euros instead of the local currency. That being said, they are very relaxed about the payment, giving us ample time to get to a bank and withdrawing the money. All things considered I would stay there again.
One last thing: the building entrance can be hard to find. Just look for the Museum of Failure; it's just to the left.

Very cute and comfy. The staff was sweet and helpful.
The front entry is marked with a small sign that's easy to miss on first glance and there are lots of stairs to climb.

Fabulous Hostel in a great location. The decor is very unique and the staff were all so friendly and helpful. Being an older couple newish to hostels, it's always a little worrying what you arrive to..... But Lavender Circus 🎪❤️ you were fantastic in every way. Absolutely adored our stay here. Thank you!

Absolutely fantastic stay with a great and friendly staff! The location for the price can't be beaten, I would absolutely stay again for my next trip to Budapest! Such wonderful charm.

This is a nice no frills hostel, the desk people are nice and friendly. The decor is cool. Others have noted that it’s a third floor walk up and the walk up isn’t lit, I didn’t think that was too bad at all, you have some light from the street so it’s not pitch dark by any means. Good location and close to all transportation. Not shabby by any means but definitely no frills, I would say if it’s a deal for you at the time of booking then do it. Only thing is that the private rooms don’t have an option for a private bathroom, only the larger apartments have that option.

It was a nice clean place in a good location. However, staff were nowhere to be found. The hostel is top floor as well so there are many steps so be prepared for that. The window in our room was covered by a curtain way too small so people could easily look in.
Overall, the place is ok. Probably wouldn't stay again.

We stayed in one of their Apartments which isn’t in the same location as the hostel.
The Apartment is amazing! We had a double bed up in a little ceiling hideout and a single bed in the living room area, these are super cute apartments and are full of character like you’ve not seen.
The location is near the train station, metro, Tesco, Mcdonalds etc. Easily walkable to the sights like Budapest eye, Shoes on the Danube, parliament etc.
Would absolutely recommend anyone stays here, very secure building too. I stayed there with my two children 14 & 17.
The staff were so friendly checking us in and storing our cases at the hostel when we checked out from the apartment.
They provide a hairdryer, microwave, fridge.
Please stay here and you’ll love it!
