The Hive Party Hostel

Overall a good experience, mainly liked the location, very central and lots of cafes, restaurants around. It is close to public transport, but I didn’t even need to use transport because most the landmarks was 10-15 mins walking distance. Room was in good condition, daily cleaned but the air inside was quite hot and dry. Staff was helpful. They also have some activities, which I didn’t join but heard it is good.

Fun environment

I liked the kitchen, staff and the location. Room was very convenient. Water pressure in the shower need to be stronger.

Had a great short stay at this hostel.Met many great people, no complaints.

Cheap place and nothing that bad. Lots of small annoyances like the room being extremely hot with little ability to cool it down. Bed had hairs on it that didnt belong to my group. After missing the first night I contacted the property to let them know in advance, didnt get a response,

Plenty of activities going on so you can meet people and explore Budapest nightlife. Rooms are comfy and bathrooms were always clean.

The pub crawl provided on the site is a great way to spend a evenings.

So I was top bunk in a 6 bed female dormitory, id say they need to put some kind of curtains in the bed for more privacy, and also they lack of a reel or something to dry out the towels. 6 people, 6 towels to dry inside where no place to hang them can be difficult. Average stay otherwise, the earplugs they provide do work, because it is as they say a noisy party place. Didnt feel that safe walking alone in the area at night.

Pros - elevator air conditioner centrally located friendly staff Cons - loud at night until about 0200 or so (bring ear plugs) decent little walk to train & bus stops but manageable

Really fun hostel with lots of things to do. Staff were amazing, friendly, accommodating and always making sure to make you feel included in any activities that were happening. Nice and clean and very safe. Would absolutely stay here again.

Very convenient location. It's in the heart of the old town Budapest. Very comfy beds and spacious bath in each room. Clean linen. Very friendly staff. If you are a party person, this place is for you. it's a building with 3 floors: Up are the rooms and the lobby downstairs. Also are a very cute interior patio with tables and great music.

It was very clean. People came in to clean the shared row of bathrooms every single day. It really is a party hostel, which is clear in the name so it may a little noisy during holiday season and weekends. Not an issue at all. Everyone has lockers and the beds are very comfortable. There's a lack of privacy and you can see everyone clearly on the beds. Also not a huge problem for a hostel.

Stayed Wed-Sat nights. Positives: Easy to find. Smooth check-in. Bunk beds were very nice since they were more like individual pods. Each had an outlet and light. A curtain would have been nice though. Easy to book trips onsite. My group booked a booze cruise and pub crawl, both recommended. Negatives: No chairs or table even though there was plenty room for at least 2 chairs and a table. With 4 people staying in a room, if each person wants to sit, there would be 2 sitting on each bottom bunk. Bar/club that is attached is convenient, but do not plan on any sleep until they are closed since it is open until 4 and 5AM. Our unit's door/windows are open directly to the club. Only enough soap in shower for 1 day, we had to ask 2 times for more, then when it was brought it was hand soap, which isn't the best for hair/body, especially after a long day in 33C heat. Housekeeping was in our room because the garbage bag was changed, other than that I have no idea what they did. Overall: If your goal is to go partying each night and be up very late, this is the best place to stay. If you plan on going to bed before 4AM, definitely do not stay here unless you are an extremely sound sleeper.

Good location

Such a great, social hostel ! It’s linked with a company who run the events - their staff are so welcoming and fun. The hostel itself is in great condition, clean and the beds are comfortable. Location is brilliant too, very lively! It is however very noisy because of the bar - if you’re a party person you’ll be fine (you should bring earplugs though), but if you like to go to bed early then this place probably isn’t for you! I had a great time here and will definitely stay again the next time I’m in Budapest :)

Amazing room for the price. We were group of 3 so we had a private room. We had everything we needed except internet. I’m not sure why it didn’t work in our room. If you want to meet people and have a party experience, this is the place for you

It was really nice to stay here. The staffs were really nice about everything. Hotels.com did not give us any reservation codes of Hive Party Hostel. But a nice lady named Regina helped us sort this issue out. Another nice lady named Molly gave us a clean and exact details about the hostel and its rules. She also helped us with information about tourist places, pubs, trusted atms to withdraw cash. Wish them best wishes for their hard work. Rooms were really fashionable and clean. There is a bar downstairs. They also have a free luggage storage which gave us a relief before check in. Will stay again if we go to Budapest again.

I specifically chose this property bc they offered Air conditioning. Well it didn't work the 2 nights I was there. Everyone at the room complained and they said a technician would come fix it, but no one ever did. It was torture as it is still summer and would like a full refund....worst experience ever.

Honestly the best hostel I’ve ever been to! Staff are super helpful and the hostel is very clean which made me feel really comfortable. The vibe there was incredible and the location is perfect, it’s close to everything. 100% recommend.
