Great cool hostel & bar with very comfortable beds . The only drawback is that they do not provide lockers

Great modern facility with a lovely kitchen and common area

Very clean, friendly staff, and fully stocked kitchen. The ambiance is great! We took a private bedroom room which came with very modern private bath. Little pricey…but same as everywhere in iceland.

The staff was helpful and friendly. We had a private room with a shared bath. Not too bad! The views of the bay were great. The communal kitchen was very well equipped and clean.

Amazing location, great hotel!

Great stay in the en-suite double rooms. Even though the radiator was off, the room was very hot. Other than that, it was an excellent stay.

The Barn is a lovely hostel and I highly recommend if you are wanting to stay in the area! The building is very modern and beautiful on the inside and out. The common area is very large with a huge kitchen and plenty of seating. The rooms are a little small but we were only staying one night so it wasn’t a problem. The bathrooms are spacious and the shower is great. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a gorgeous view of mountains and the beach behind the Barn!

Beyond clean and beautiful. Vík is 8 minutes away from this hostel. Very friendly and nice! Book it!

The common kitchen is great. However, watch your head. The ceiling in the double bedroom is low.

Double beds in a luxury hotel feeling hostel. Great self catering facilities. Clean and modern.

While this Hostel facility was newer, beautifully designed and impeccable, sharing a room with 4 beds with other guests just wasn't for us. Staff was awesome. We were supposed to stay 2 nights, but opted for a regular room for night 2. If you don't mind the hostel experience, then you're good to go!

The views of the fields leading to the ocean are unmatched. It is quiet and dark, if you have a private room. I would pay the extra money for the quiet and relaxed location. We stayed at another hotel in town on the way back and it was not as restful(intense bright lights all night, noise in the morning and we didn’t get the bed we had requested). The town hotels had breakfast included but I would spend my money on the barn and still make my own breakfast in the communal kitchen or grab a few pastries at the front desk.

Pretty good place to stay for a night if your goal is to just find a place to sleep, not a place if you want to enjoy the hotel

Our March stay was nice. The double room with shared bathroom was comfortable. It was quiet during the quiet hours. The flavoured water at the front was a nice touch. Check in was easy. Plenty of parking available. The downstairs lounge had comfy seats to lounge and hang out in. More guests should use the bath mats provided to keep the shower floors dry. The kitchen area and bathrooms are cleaned daily by staff.
