Residency Hotel Fort

The room was great and the staff were amazing. Some of the nicest and friendliest staff who are worth choosing this hotel to stay at just to meet. Balu greeted us and served us coffee each morning and chatting with him was one of our favorite parts of Mumbai.

Worth the money! Great place to stay and staff are excellent. Would bring me water, TP, etc as soon as I asked. There is a laundry service next door, I had 3 items and some underwear which they washed on the same day for about 320 rupees. I was very pleased! The room was clean and spacious, the blinds were excellent and kept the room dark. A/C works even when you take the card and leave, so room stays cold. Hotel is on an excellent location, quiet and safe. Short taxi ride to sights downtown, and the metro station is around the corner so you can be at the airport in less than an hour! I felt safe here as a solo female traveller in my early 30s. Hotel has good breakfast choices, changes every day and they make fresh dosas and eggs. Continental brwakfast options available as well. A few restaurants nearby, can recommend Fountain Plaza. 7/11 nearby as well. Ebix on AK Nayak Marg has great foreign exchange rates if needed! All in all, I really loved this hotel, great amenities at the hotel and nearby.

Great value in a perfect location! The Residency Fort Hotel is close to key sights like the Gateway of India, Colaba Causeway, and the museum, with Marine Drive just a quick cab away. Rooms are compact but comfortable, the breakfast buffet is tasty, and the staff go above and beyond—special thanks to Gopal and Rajesh for making my stay memorable. Ideal spot for solo travelers exploring Mumbai!

Can't fault the hotel or the service. Some funny quirks (like the massage chair and afternoon tea) add to the overall positive experience.

Great location and breakfast. Complimentary tea/coffee and cookies available all day. Easy walk to CST if getting a train, and just a good area for walking around especially at the back of the hotel. Short Uber ride to main attractions, and Phoenix Mall. The staff here are just great. This was our 3rd stay at this hotel, and if staying in Fort again this is the place I would choose.

My stay at this property was better than expected. The room was comfortable, the area is very convenient with many walkable options, and then breakfast was great. The staff helped with every need and they were friendly and kind. I really recommend staying here for a budget friendly option in Mumbai. The only thing I would say is that it’s a little noisy around the area but not at all times.

This place has excellent staff, amazing delicious breakfast. Courteous staff members who try their best to make you feel welcome. I stayed in their main building, we had 3 single bed room. It was supposed to be a good room facing the street. it was spacious but run down, dirty curtains half hanging, so dirty i didnt even want to touch them. Very tiny bathroom no window. I have stayed here in the past but not in their main building but in their next door building which is more developed and modern. I would highly recommend staying in their nextdoor building. And yes i would come stay here again.

There were so many flies everywhere. Staff was nice and the receptionist was very polite.

Great location! Easy to get an Uber or walk around. The staff here is excellent!! We love the staff!! They offer a great breakfast and are in a good location. They have a nice lobby to sit in (our final day we checked out and left our luggage at the hotel and were still able to relax in the lobby) and great cappaccinos. The only downside was that our room (located in the property next door to the lobby) was stuffy and dark.

I had a wonderful experience at Residency Hotel Fort in Mumbai. The staff were incredibly welcoming, even when I arrived at 3am! I was greeted with smiling faces, which was a great start to my stay. The room was excellent, with a large bathroom, and it was clean and well-equipped with all the regular amenities. The hotel also offers a decent breakfast selection. I was particularly impressed that they kindly stored my luggage for two days after I checked out. The hotel's location is also a major plus, as it's quite central and close to all the key tourist spots in Mumbai. I highly recommend this hotel.
