LOVED!! This place is really cute, quiet and well located. There's a bike rental right across the street, restaurant inside the property with affordable, delicious dishes, good variety too! One of the friendliest staff we've encountered. Really recommend to stay there.

Bagus Bay Guest House is without the doubt the most touristic place to stay in Samosir Island, which makes it one of the most touristic places in Sumatra, even during the wet season. The location is amazing - the guesthouse is located just next to the ferry pier, so it is really convenient to get there from Parapat. We were a bit surprised to see that there is no aircon in the room - and relieved to realise that it's not necessary! The room had a very pleasant temperature throughout our entire stay. The photos don't do justice, in reality it has looked much better. Our only complaint would be the mosquito net, as it was not possible to cover 100% of the bed, there were always some holes, albeit small. The restaurant in the guesthouse is quite expensive by the local standards, but it's one of the best in town. Try to stay there on Wednesday or on Saturday, as there is a showcase of the local Batak dances and music.

Bagus Bay is a really friendly inexpensive place to stay. It’s nicer than it looks in the photos and has great food. Easy to be here alone and a very short walk from the ferry drop off point (the first one) Highly recommend.

Room for 283K..with bathroom inside & no bathroom door handle..front view of the room towards the roof with leaves on the roof..back view of the room with cement walls...bed with mosquito net because there are mosquitoes at night..bedside table which can be said to be somewhat inadequate..it is better for you to add a little money and get a room in another hotel with better facilities.

It's worth the price. The plus side is that it's fruit season there. There are mangoes, guavas, and water apples bearing fruit so abundantly that they fall down. It's a bit annoying because they fall on the roof of our room. The minus side is that it's not very comfortable because it's noisy, not very clean, and the trees are too dense so it seems scary.

Homestay that goes directly to Lake Toba, there is a mini market and food vendors in the area near the homestay. The garden is spacious. The best part is, the family room is from a modified authentic Batak traditional house. Recommended to stay with family!!!

It was really nice to be in this inn actually, friendly staff, hotel area that has a very beautiful view, comfortable while staying there for 4 days 3 nights. 2 things that are lacking from this inn are the hot water that comes and goes & lots of black ants on the floor & bathroom even though it has been cleaned back and forth. Overall, my husband & I really enjoyed staying here plus I think the price of the hotel room is very cheap. Initially, I booked because the price was relatively cheap, I underestimated it but it turned out to be beyond my & my husband's expectations, we were very satisfied & if we go to Samosir we will definitely stay here again.

Room yang saya pesan sebenernya cocok untuk 1 atau maksimal 2 orang aja. Kebetulan kemaren saya bawa keluarga, istri dan 3 orang anak, jadi kamarnya terasa kecil. Pelayanan staff ramah dan mau bantu refund karena kesalahan sistem, saya pesan 2 kamar tp yang tersedia cuma 1 kamar aja. Terima kasih.

Walaupun harga murah, tapi dengan kamar dan area sekitar hotel yang sangat alami dan langsung ke Danau Toba. Proses check-in dan check-out cepat, kamar luas, kamar mandi bersih, hanya saja tidak ada lemari dan gantungan baju hanya ada di kamar mandi. Terdapat berbagai entertain seperti billiard, badminton, ayunan, dan bar. Lokasi hotel dekat ke tempat-tempat wisata lainnya. Kalau ke bar-nya yang paling rekomen itu mushroom pizza-nya, enak banget. Tapi overall worth it banget dengan harga kamar segitu.
