Nothing to complain about the Hotel. Excellent room spacious with a balcony overlooking the pool. The pool is long and narrow between the two buildings . At one end of the pool is the breakfast area . So no pool bar . The breakfast is very good .Buffet . and plentiful. Everywhere is clean and tidy . Staff are very nice and friendly . Downside is the location. On a busy main road . Separate island down the centre so you'd have to circle around if driving to the markets.
Pavements are typical Indonesian up and down broken in places . Cars parked very close or on the pavements .It's quite a walk to the markets shops and bars/restaurants . Large variety of places to eat / massage parlours and the usual stalls selling their wares . Closer to the port if you want to take any of the tours . There 's a large fashion mall somewhat central . Not close to the beach . The beaches all have sun loungers / towels for rental . Nice enough beach but alot of seaweed( better than the rubbish strewn beach of Kuta ) . If you want to be near or next to the beach there are several villas to choose from. Good location . Not dangerous . Just be ready to walk a lot

I cannot say enough good things about my stay at Grand Palace. I could focus on my beautiful and spacious room that backed up right to the pool. I could focus on the good food at the restaurant. I could focus on how comfortable the bed was. However, that would make me fall far short of what makes this a truly great stay.
The staff. The folks that work at Grand Palace are truly beautiful people. Exceptionally kind. Giving. Caring. I was there for a month and got to talk with many on their team for long stretches, and everyone was incredibly friendly and warm. From the spa to the front desk to housekeeping and to the parking lot attendants, I felt so welcomed while on my solo journey stop around the world here in Bali.
I hope to be back someday.

We were disappointed with the first room we were allocated as it was on the top level and a long walk from Reception and the pool. We were re located to a ground floor room after reporting this. The new room had a better location but was inferior. The room was less comfortable. No couch or other seating other than a desk chair. The one lamp was broken and room was very dark - too dark to read in bed. The fridge was not working well and was replaced when this was mentioned. The bathroom did not have a towel rail and there was only 1 hook on the back of the door, After showering water pooled on the floor. The flooring in the main room had bubbles. The location of the hotel was disappointing as we did not feel safe walking on such a busy road. Around the pool is very slippery and poorly lit - we had to walk this way to our room.

Lovely hotel but did not enjoy hearing the neighbours next door at night, with their TV up loud until midnight. The walk to the shops like Icon mall, in the heat, I did not enjoy. Otherwise it was a great hotel. Comfortable beds, pillow, and chair to sit on. Value for money. Pool is large and very shallow.
