Amazing stay! Place was serene and room was clean. The neighborhood was so beautiful too. Breakfast and afternoon tea were delicious. Staff was friendly and patient. They also anticipated our needs really well. We told them we have a tour starting at 3.30am (before breakfast starts) and they offered to pack breakfast boxes for us without us even asking. We could also loan umbrellas and broke one, but the staff was kind to not ask for compensation. Two minor concerns were that the room is not very soundproof and there is a bar nearby that could be somewhat heard into the evening.

A good property, but showing its age a bit. All staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location was very good, and close to shopping, restaurants and the monkey park. I'll start off by saying that the staff made this an exceptional stay. Nothing was too much trouble, all requests were accepted and in good humour as well. We had a good rapport with everyone during our stay. The were top class. Being able to communicate requests via Whatsapp made things so much easier than many hotels we have stayed at. The spa, the in house restaurant, the breakfast buffett, room service, it was all excellent. This hotel is handily placed right on one of the main roads in Ubud, but the way the hotel is laid out, you would never know. We had one of the pool villas that was some distance from main reception and the main buildings, but that just added to the exclusive nature of the room. There were some small elements that make this a four star hotel rather than a five star. There were occasions when the room wasn't cleaned. We also felt it strange that the coffee sachets in the room were from Nescafe, when we'd have hoped they could have been a local speciality. It is those types of little touches that could have meant a five star rating. Some of the fit & finishings around the pool area could have done with being updated, but I understand that this is a tough weather environment to operate in and that extreme sunshine and heat followed by torrential rain does not make this easy to ensure that the decking is it's best. But this is nit-picking, if the opportunity came to stay in Ubud once again, we would have no hesitation to stay at KajaNe Mua.

The location of the hotel is in the middle of Ubud. So convenient to walk to the monkey forest, tons of shops, restaurants and bars. They also provide a shuttle to the open market, which I took advantage of especially for pick up at night. I treated myself to the one bedroom with a private pool. It was nothing short of amazing. It was so serene and relaxing. It was clean and every need was anticipated by the amenities available standard in the room. The staff and service was efficient and excellent throughout my four night stay. The breakfast buffet was varied and perfectly satisfying. I did order room service and it was delivered promptly and correctly. I also used the services at the spa, which were excellent. The grounds were well kept and attended to daily. The attention to detail was impressive. If I have to complain about anything, the location of this particular room was secluded, which meant it was a long walk up and downstairs at the end of the property, but in the end, the exercise was good and well worth the walk to an amazing room. I highly recommend staying here. I will be recommending it to all my friends and family. And I can’t wait to return.

Beautiful place, located in the centre, within a few mins walk of multiple restaurants, bars, cafes, monkey forest and Ubud Palace - the vibrant heart and hustle and bustle of town. The villas are located a few mins walk from the entrance to the hotel, into the calm and peaceful forest where the sounds of mopeds and traffic cannot be heard. So you have the best of both worlds! The villa was great - private pool, outdoor bath, shower and toilet, and the bed is very comfortable with mosquito net. Staff very attentive, efficient, friendly and approachable, with a WhatsApp messaging service to reception front desk that means whether you’re in the pool or in town, and require something, you do not necessarily need to go to the phone in your room and dial zero, but can access the team remotely. An example of this is if you’re wanting to use the free shuttle for collection in town to avoid the heavy foot and motor traffic, you can WhatsApp to request collection from wherever you are. Daily complementary afternoon tea served between 3-7pm with cake, and very reasonable breakfast menu that allowed me to skip lunch and enjoy dinner in town at one of the hundreds of local restaurants. Multiple live music venues within walking distance. This is the ideal place for those seeking a retreat like venue for relaxation and unwinding, but also enjoy the hustle and bustle of night life and experience of true Balinese culture. Access not great for elderly/disabled due to multiple steps.

We had an amazing stay right in the middle of Ubud, yet it felt like a jungle resort. However, it must be mentioned somewhere in the hotel description that there are rooms not suitable for old people or people with disabilities as our, although very nice, had lot of stairs to reach. We personally had no bad experience, the staff was very welcoming and made our stay a memorable one. The hotel is strongly recommended for a stay in Ubud.

Beautiful boutique hotel. The room we had was wonderfully spacious and luxurious. The bed was so big I could spread out without actually colliding with my husband. Breakfast buffet was different every day and lots of choice. Super fresh eggs and fruit. The Homemade Restaurant also had a huge choice of menu and excellent quality and good choice of cocktails too. The Spa was amazing and really good value for money and I can recommend the hot stone massage.

Where do i start? The hotel itself is located at the city centre, walkable to everything. Very easy for us to rent a scooter, accessible to shopping areas, variety of restaurants. The breakfast buffet was great. The staff are very kind, attentive and polite. Highly recommended.
