Alantara was a great hotel. The staff were so attentive. Nothing was too much trouble.My only suggestion to improve would be some new thicker mattresses on the sunloungers. Will definitely go back.

We stayed for a fortnight at the Alantara and enjoyed the tranquil setting around the pool which is surrounded by tropical greenery. The vegetarian options provided by the staff at the restaurant are also fabulous and the staff are very welcoming, a special mention to Febry who is a gem! Very friendly, warm and welcoming she greeted us by our first names each morning, she really manages the restaurant area very well. We enjoyed the cultural dance evenings and all the staff at the Pesisi are thoughtful and made specially cooked vegetarian meals for us. The staff make every effort to ensure you have a good stay. The hotel is located away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre but there is a free shuttle provided every other hour which takes you straight into the town. We highly recommend staying here for your next holiday.😊

I really enjoyed my stay here, lovely atmosphere with wonderful and attentive staff. Extremely clean, spa and gym were a plus as well. There was also a shuttle that made it convenient to get to beaches and Icon mall, although private rides are also easy and inexpensive.

TLDR: Food and service were fantastic, small pool area but comfortable, close to the beach, rooms could be nicer depending on how much you care about it. The Alantara Sanur has fantastic service and food. I really appreciated that the breakfast food changed day to day, it was also delicious. We also had dinner at the resort twice, once with their set menu for the busker night. The resort offered a free shuttle to go down near the beach for free, but we ended up using Grab to go to some places we found for dinner and happy hour which was very cheap. We rode to the resort via hotel arranged transportation and went back to the airport using Grab as well. This hotel has a program where they teach (?) or allow students to get hospitality experience, which it seems that the staff are incredibly attentive. The hotel is family friendly in general, although the pool area is fairly small (maybe ~ 30 people comfortably?) so two families with kids kind of takes up a lot of space. It’s a beautiful area though and my mom and I spent a lot of time in the pool. I didn’t personally think the rooms were that clean, the sheets and pillows seem old and have a yellowish tint to them and had small stains and the shower water smelled a little bit, though my mom didn’t seem to care.

On our 12 nights in Bali between Seminyak, Ubud and Sanur, I can comfortably call this hotel my favourite. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable with the outdoor shower a revelation. Breakfast had many options that changed daily and the pool was lovely. A shuttle into the centre for free is a nice touch and yes the hotel isnt central but a taxi cost the equivalent of £1.20 and was worth it for the peace, quiet and safety. If we ever passed through Bali again, this is where we'd stay

For us, the highlight of this hotel was the staff, who went out of their way to make us feel at home and were always happy to answer any questions we had. The hotel itself is lovely, and our room was quite comfortable, clean, and well-appointed. The breakfast buffet is plentiful and offers both Asian and western options. We especially enjoyed the noodle soup and all the different juices and fresh fruits that were available. The pool was a great way to relax and cool off, although it gets somewhat crowded during the day, so we mostly visited in the early morning or evening. The hotel definitely seems safe and is in a quiet area. You can easily get a Grab pickup, so there are no issues with getting around, and there are restaurants within walking distance for variety.
