This hotel has been my favorite while visiting family in South Dublin. It’s right by the pier and Sandy Cove, great walks to get fresh sea air. There are many shops and restaurants within walking distance. Also near the DART station. Traditional rooms are very small though. I like their executive room with a sofa though the shower is better in the traditional room. Many rooms don’t have a view. If they decorate the inner building area it would look more pleasant. Tea room is always crowded and Hardy’s bar is popular in the evenings.

We only stayed for one night before heading to the airport, and it was perfect for that purpose. The location of the hotel provided everything we needed and more - good eats, good drinks and beautiful views. Our room amusingly looked out onto a tiny turfed, non‑accessible courtyard, and with the curtains open you could see people walking by in the adjacent hallway through the floor‑to‑ceiling windows — quirky, but harmless. We booked the cheapest room at a good rate, so no complaints there. The air conditioning worked well, though the bed wasn’t the most comfortable. If you stay here, you must eat at Casper & Giumbini’s just steps from the hotel — it was perfection. Overall, a convenient and perfectly fine overnight stay.

The room wasn't ready when we arrived so we had to wait 90 minutes from about 2pm to 3:30. The room was clean, but dated with stains on the carpet with a splitting seam in one corner, quite a bit of silicone caulking in the bathroom which had a very small shower stall for a suite. Biggest issue was finding the toilet lid up and urine in the toilet when we returned to the room after it had been cleaned. We always put the lid down and flush so someone else had used the toilet. That same day the replacement small carton of water was on its side on the nightstand instead of in the small room refrigerator so it felt like someone was interrupted while cleaning and didn't quite finish. Since we weren't in the room much it wasn't worth raising an issue, but we'll likely try another hotel the next time we're in the south Dublin area. A minor annoyance was the in-room coffee replenishment wasn't consistent. It started with four tubes of coffee (caffeinated) and we used two a day. Sometimes they would replenish one, and other times none. We had at least two tubes but

Clean spacious room but was executive. Staff most of them friendly and helpful. Bathroom door stop was just by sink and I kept hitting it with my foot - not good. Should have alternative coffee to coffee machine as had kettle to make tea. Should have instructions on how to use coffee machine. It was easy to knock off as kept going red on me but very helpful member of staff showed me what was wrong
