Very interesting to stay in a university dorm room. The room was clean, not cramped but also not spacious. It is not luxury accommodation, nor is it roughing it. The personnel were friendly and helpful. The cafe/ restaurant was a little hike to another building but easy enough to do. We would do this again.

This property is brand new and in mint condition. It’s walkable to Galway City center, but it’s a long walk. I recommend the bus which is clean, inexpensive and runs frequently. This place was a great option for families with teens.

Good for 18 yr olds who want to party … noise 24 hours a day and loud! Forget sleep. Individual dorm rooms with double bed against a wall … tough for 2 people. We booked a 3 bed/3 bath thinking it would be an appt … it was 5 dorm bedrooms - we could access 3 and a common room. No one else with us but as it cost more than a hotel .. far from worth it. Would not recommend unless you’re a young adult looking to stay up. Also no amenities… 2 towels, no hair dryer.

I booked "University of Galway Apartments" thinking that I would get an apartment. My wife teaches a summer course at Galway and my son and I stayed with her in her four-bedroom apartment last year. Much to my surprise, this year my son and I didn't get an apartment ... we got a single dormitory room in Dunlin Village. A single dormitory room with a small bed and a chair and nothing else. No coffeemaker, no nothing. Just towels, soap, body wash. Amazingly, this was billed as a "deluxe" accommodation, and the cost was comparable to that of a three-star hotel. It is the single biggest booking mistake I have made, though in my defense I was misled by the photo, which suggested that the apartment would be an apartment. I made other arrangements, but that's a bunch of money I will never get back.
