Had a great stay,great location, clean and great staff ,our only criticism is the hotel is dated,beds uncomfortable, rooms to warm but would definitely return

Nice hotel that is clean and tidy inside. Outside not as good due to being shared with cinema beside it. Parking became full due to some "event" and forced us to park on the street until some apparent non hotel people left. Perhaps due to casino and restaurant inside the building, but seems folks staying at the hotel would have designated parking. Great stay otherwise.

Typical best western hotel, run down in lots of areas, threadbare corridor carpets etc but the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Expensive for what it is but adequate for a night or two! Has its own parking behind the hotel which is useful for parking motorbikes etc from plain view.

The building is now very tired and would benefit from a complete refurbishment. It would probably be better to demolish it and start again. The staff were very cheerful and then rooms very clean. The breakfasts were very good.

Really poor service throughout. Hotel is tired and very dated. Staff were unwilling to help particularly over the phone. Won’t be returning.

most staff were good and friendly receptionist was not helpful at all whole interior was tired carpets badly worn in places 2 phones in room only one worked on trying no one answered anyway neither of them worked in emergency they would have been useless bed linen and replenishment of tea/ coffee every third day was an inconvenience

This hotel needs a significant upgrade. It’s very tired and dated. Staff were stretched and therefore less helpful that what you’d expect especially on the phone prior to booking as if anything requested was a bother to them. I won’t be returning.

Whilst it may feel a little dated and can be a little noisy in the evening, the facilities are good, and well kept. The beds were firm but comfortable and the pool & spa were very enjoyable. It’s also well positioned over the bay and within easy walk of the heart of Douglas.

- [ ] Rude and unfriendly front desk staff
- [ ] The hotel cards are awful and get deactivated immediately
- [ ] Friendly manger- said it’s been updated coming in 12 months?
- [ ] Whole hotel- Aged, ripped carpets
- [ ] Rooms- haven’t been updated in 20 years
- [ ] Poor photos on websites
- [ ] Why twin rooms? They should have doubles?
- [ ] There should be off season, tourist discounts
- [ ] The irons are old and dated
- [ ] You need to give a cash deposit for the towels at the pool
- [ ] The hotel keys get deactivated all the time
- [ ] Broken shower rod hangers
- [ ] Dirty bath mat
- [ ] WiFi- no internet connection- 1-2 bars, slow- mentioned something on December 11 and he mentioned because there’s a lot of people in the hotel. Which obviously makes no sense.

I appreciated that this hotel was a walkable distance from a handful of things to do, like shopping and the Manx museum. I also appreciated that they had a well kept pool and on the facilities.

It was convenient and plenty to do including swim, gym, bingo, casino, cinema. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were friendly.
