Barberini Retreat

Using online resources can be a challenge in Italy. We got excellent help from Leticia at the front desk when navigating some of those issues such as purchasing tickets. Aside from that, the location is just perfect with easy access to public transportation and often in walking distance to many of Rome's great attractions.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! From the moment I booked, the staff was communicative and helpful, making the pre-arrival process smooth and stress-free. Check-in was quick and seamless, which set the tone for a great experience. The room itself was incredibly spacious and impeccably clean—exactly what you hope for when traveling. It was clear that cleanliness and comfort are a priority here. WiFi also worked great throughout my stay. The location couldn't have been better—centrally situated and extremely walkable, making it easy to explore the area without needing transportation. What really stood out to me was the wonderful staff. Everyone from the front desk to the breakfast team and housekeeping was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. Their hospitality made the stay even more enjoyable. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a welcoming, convenient, and comfortable place to stay.

there are endless hotel in Rome. Please look for a different one. does not worth the money in every aspect you can think of. Pro one of the worst hotel experience I ever had.

Sono ormai diverse volte che scelgo questo hotel per la sua posizione vicino ai musei, le gentilezza del personale, i letti e la biancheria ottimi, il bagno non grande ma molto ben arredato e con finestra. Questa volta mi hanno dato una camera al 5 piano molto silenziosa e luminosa. Tornerò senz’altro

Easy to reach, pleasantly silent and very clean and nice place. We enjoyed the junior suites' private terrace and view over the roof tops, especially during the conclave since you have a view to the Vatican. Firm beds, safe box and nice smaller breakfast with both savory and sweet treats. Free water bottles every day. Room could be more practically equipped with coat hangers, space to unfold 2 suitcases (not only one!) and a functioning handheld shower to go with the big roof shower. Very loud AC and tv hanging from a scary angle. You should be able to turn the bedside lamps on and off individually. So overall very nice, but som potential for improvement on the interior details.

The hotel is a block away from public transport, which was very convenient. It was clean and quiet and very helpful staff. We asked Nicolo for restaurant recommendations and both that we tried were excellent (and close). Beautiful rooftop, elevator to rooms, and good size rooms. Worth it!

Bella camera spaziosa, finestra sul giardino interno, silenziosa. Tè e caffè in camera. Bagno con grande doccia, bidet e finestra.

Ottima struttura, tutto molto ben arredato. Camera non grande ma assolutamente completa di tutto, tè, caffè e ogni accessorio nella bella stanza da bagno con finestra. Letti con splendidi materassi di 30 cm e biancheria di ottima qualità. Servizio impeccabile e buona colazione all'ultimo piano sul terrazzo. Tornerò sicuramente

Beautiful hotel , in walking distance to many of the main attractions in Italy. The staff are wonderful and very helpful to help make your visit to the city a comfortable and enjoyable visit.

The Barberini Retreat has only been open for a month. Our stay began when Nicholas welcomed us at 10 AM We were very early and very tired. He took us up to the roof top breakfast area, told us to enjoy the food and coffee. When our room was ready ( not very long) he got our luggage sent up and invited us to check in way early. The entire staff was friendly and accommodating. The breakfast and coffee were great. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! Well located for walking to the sights if you’re a hiker like us. Also the subway is a short walk away. Lots of nice restaurants and shops in the area.

The property is ideally situated just steps away from activities and restaurants. The host is exceptional, attentive to detail and extremely helpful. The apartment ia clean, spacious and equipped with all the essentials for a comfortable stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and stay.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Our room was wonderful, and the breakfast was excellent. What made our stay here so special were the people who work here. So friendly and helpful. We will return to Rome in the future and we will definitely stay here!

Our stay was horrible! We reserved two rooms. There were two nights in which we couldn't sleep since the air conditioner worked all the time, and we couldn't regulate the temperature or even turn it off. After we turned it off, automatically it turned it on again. So in fact we slept in a frigider!! In addition, there was a terrible noise of water that came from the air conditioner (both rooms have the same problems). The hotel's manager told us that they knew there were "some problems" with the rooms, but since they opened only ten days before, and nobody slept in our rooms before, they couldn't know how serious the problems are. Are we the hotel's guinea pigs? We paid a lot of money, to enjoy and not to have the hotel rooms tried on us. Apart from telling us that they recognize that there is a problem and that they are sorry, they did nothing.

We stayed at the property as the first guests after their renovations, and so the staff were working around contractors and work being done. This did not impact us as guests all, however it would have been good to know that this facility was “brand new” when we were booking. We requested a twin room, and arrived to a double - this was rectified the next day and it seems to be the way that twin beds, even though made up separately, are very close together, basically touching, which wouldn’t be ideal for some guests. We had an issue with the air conditioning (it didn’t work) however the staff were very friendly, helpful and could not have done more to make us comfortable during our stay. I’d say once they have all their rooms and systems up and running, they’ll have a great little hotel. It’s so close to the Barberini Metro station, many great little coffee/sandwich places and if you forget anything, there’s a little market across the street that sells literally EVERYTHING!!

Comfortable stay. Staff vary accommodating and helpful. Convenient location. Standard room is small. but met our needs. Would recommend.

Very nice hotel located perfectly, next to metro and Hop-on bus and you can easily walk to the center area. Hotel was clean and they had good small breakfest. AC worked well (thank god because it was very hot). Nice roof terrace where you can spend time at evening. Hotel stuff was very helpful. Special mention to Letizia who helped us with our stupid questions. 😊 If we get back to Rome we will book this hotel again.
