Great location and gorgeous building.

Beautiful historical feel

Room very clean, comfortable, and modern. Lots of USB plugs!

Staff were good, especially Stefania who was very helpful. Shower: Moderate (pressure good, heat low) Bed: Comfortable Noise: Some street noise - corner suite, motorcycle noise Ambience: Good - wonderful building Location: Excellent Paid a premium for a good room, however was very noisy on the Saturday night (possibly due to large group of motorcycles in town). Many other hotels appeared to have premium soundproofing, this one did not. Do not understand why hotels charge you the same rate for each night yet do not provide you with the first night conveniences, (eg: water, toothbrushes etc.)

Loved the beauty of the building, especially the interiors. Staff was courteous and prompt. Very good restaurant, food, drinks. The room was beautifully decorated. Bathroom, wonderful. The only negative thing; no ramp at entryway. There are stairs. They do have staff that will carry up (& down) your luggage. But, i didnt see them at first, so I pulled my own luggage up and almost fell. Otherwise an excellent place.

Beautiful hotel right in the heart of Trieste. Walkable to Roman ruins, churches, piazza, canal, shops and restaurants. Close to ship port.

Amazing hotel !!

Very nice stay at the DoubleTree Hilton Trieste. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and no noises from outside or neighbors. I did not have their breakfast as there are many cafés and restaurants near by to try. Location is excellent for walking around and sightseeing. The only negative remark would be the parking and valet service. The secure lot is a couple of blocks from hotel and it took up to an hour to get the car from valet, even though we asked for it for a specific time the night before. Other than that, I would definitely stay there again if I'm ever back in Trieste.

This is a fabulous building to stay in and worth it for that reason. If you like coffee Trieste is wonderful too. But my scores as not as good as they would otherwise be and should be for this type of hotel and the price paid. Some aspects of service - including the breakfast provision (which is great) and service by those staff was excellent. But several little, mainly housekeeping things let it down - no cups in the room, having to ask twice for them to be provided, shower gel dispensers left empty, no water in the gym etc. A bit of a shame as potentially it is a wonderful place to stay.

The shower in both of our rooms was not in order, it was impossible to adjust the water temperature

Been charged 3 euro for a small jug of fresh milk!!!, no tea cups in room. You think a Hilton hotel could afford to give a guest milk for a cup of tea for free, things must be in dire straits economically for them

Beautiful old building. Room was huge with a great bathroom.

We had a room with a living room area. There two tvs in the room that seemed to be synchronized with each other. When we turned the tv on the other one went on. When we turned it off; if we changed the channel or volume the tv would go back on. Reported it twice was not rectified. Restaurant was not always open for food although the hotel was full. Otherwise staff were great; breakfast was very good. location great.

Smack dab in the center of everything great about Trieste. Easy walk to lots of great dining and landmarks.
