Good value stay in Milan

Photos on the site is very misleading. Bed sheets were in very poor condtion. Asked for new ones for our second night it didn't happen. Very disappointed! Staff are nice though so it's a plus.

Only used the room to sleep as i had an event nearby but i highly recommend this hotel. At arrival the gentleman on the check in was friendly and informative, we went to our room which was room 401 and was surprised at the size of the room. The room was large and spacious, it had a balcony and was extremely clean. The hotel is located not too far from a metro station, also was conveniently close to Alcatraz which held my event and I was able to walk there and back. The bathroom was spacious and very clean.

I loved how friendly and helpful the staff was and also appreciated the cleanliness of the hotel. It is a short 5-10 minutes walk to the metro and only a few metro stops to major attractions like the Duomo, Theater Alla Scala and the galleria. Also it’s a short 5 minutes taxi ride to Milano Centrale railway station what made easy for me to take a train to Florence. I really enjoyed my stay and definitely will try to do it again in future trips to Milan.

Overall good stay at a reasonable price. Pros: decent breakfast, kind staff, spacious room Cons: a bit far from public transportation, limited English communication, week wifi signal

The Place is very nice Family owned , keep just impeccable clean, service really friendly, good Italian Breakfast, would go back very soon.

We enjoyed our stay at hotel Ares. The location is great ... not too far from the centre in a nice neighbourhood with lots of restaurants and cafes near by. The staff we friendly. The room, although not recently updated, was clean and comfortable and HUGE. It had a nice large balcony overlooking rooftops. Comfy bed. We had some issues with the hot water working consistently. However, still as a whole, we enjoyed our stay and found the hotel good value. Would stay again.

Beutiful hotel and nice people, close access to milan metro, about 10 min walk. The metro is very fast and oly 1.50 euros

Did a one night stay in Milan as I wanted to visit the large selection of bike shops hotel was really nice good location and not to far from airport people polite and helpful too

The lady in reception was very nice! She explained things very nicely and spoke good English! She helped is with checking in a bit early too! Breakfast was nice, room was clean and good! Overall a good stay:)

On first arriving it was a bit worrying, Milan has graffiti everywhere but when we walked into the hotel we were very pleased. Staff were friendly and helpful and everything seemed clean and tidy. The beds were not the most comfortable and we discovered a leak from the toilet. When the loo roll was low they didn't replenish this, we had to go and ask and while staff were happy to give us another roll, we shouldn't have had to ask. The hotel was in a location where you can easily access transport into the centre of Milan.

Good stay

Room was very cosy - except the air conditioner wasn't great. Walking distance to the metro which was good as it was 3 stops away from the central station. Breakfast was pleasing and satisfying. Upon arrival, the lady that greeted us was very nice and welcoming. Overall, very nice hotel.

Okay if your staying for one night. Bathroom door was. Token and room was unappealing. Decor very outdated and towels smelt like they had been stored somewhere for weeks. If you want a place for the night and not fussed about anything. Then this is fine.

Hotel staff were very unprofessional; neighbourhood was dirty and quite gross. The room itself was old and smelled musty, only saving grace was the bathroom which appears to be recently renovated and quite nice. Overall, for the price I paid I'd expect something far better than what Hotel Ares offered.

The location was difficult to find, 10 mins walk from metro and nearby bus stops. Nice & helpful staff. Basic breakfast but great hot drinks. Room & shower room were clean, great air-conditioning. Lift was available which helped a lot for those with luggages.

The staff were nice and had a 24 hour reception. The room was clean and fine to sleep in but you wouldn't want to spend much time there and there's nothing to do at the hotel. The shower is really tiny, I could just about turn around in it and I'm very small! There is a hairdryer in the bathroom and a safe in the room which is handy. Iron available on request. There was no air conditioning so it was quite uncomfortable in the evening as it was very hot, had to sleep with the windows open and ended up getting bitten. The hotel is not in a very nice location, there was nothing really to do around there and I didn't feel entirely safe going back at night, certainly wouldn't have wanted to walk back by myself! It is easy to get into the centre though and it's a 7 minute walk to the metro roughly. Breakfast was fine but the hot selection wasn't very good and there wasn't a lot of it. Breakfast was unavailable on our first morning so the mini bar was free for us which was nice of them but that only had a few drinks and some nuts in it. Overall the hotel served our purpose for the trip just having somewhere clean to stay and the bed was comfortable but if you want something fancy I wouldn't stay here.
