If you are looking for a way you to experience Venice but not spend a ton on a hotel this could be a great option for you. Staying on the mainland made our trip over £800 cheaper and as it was our mini-moon for directly after our wedding that's exactly what we needed. The bus stops right outside the hotel and takes your directly to Venice for €8 return. It takes around 40 minutes but is very convenient. The €4 breakfast is also well worth it.

The hotel check-in is just before 10P.M. We didn't know that and we arrived by 11:15P.M, but there was a ring that you could talk with reception and she opened the door and guided us to find our room key.
The hotel is 1 hour from venice by bus.

Dolo is a nice town with some nice places to eat

Very quite and comfortable hotel located in a charming town with many fine reataurants between Padua and Venice. We used the bus (very cheap and frequent) to get to Venice . Lively Lido di Jesolo is only one hour away by car.
Hosts were very friendly and spoke English well . Great value for money

For the price, everything was super. The room was always kept clean, the couple that owns the place is very helpful and even gave us a ride home when it was raining out! The room was comfortable, nothing out of the ordinary. There is a TV and PlayStation in the lobby for entertainment and the breakfasts were always amazing. The only issue would be that it's a bit of a long ride from Venice, though Dolo was always nice and welcoming.
