We're touring around three regions of Italy and this was our first stop. It ended up being a great choice and excellent value for money. We flew into Pisa and visited Pisa, Florence and Luca and many small villages. Luca was by far the most beautiful and a definite must for any visit to the region. Pisa and Florence came a close second. After this we're heading South driving down the middle of Tuscany, stopping from time to time and ending up on the Amalfi coast in a few days time.

An amazing property! Whilst it seems to be along the road, it is actually rather secluded and we could not hear any noise (except for the disco bar outside the hotel gates). The premises are split into a number of small villas which have rooms. The rooms are of a very good size and the bed is comfortable (though the pillows could be of a better quality). There is a beautiful lake at the hotel premises and the area is gated, so very safe. Ample parking outside the hotel gates but there are a number of parking lots inside. There is a lovely swimming pool with a pool bar, so a great opportunity to relax :) The breakfast was basic but offered the normal variety - yogurts, hams and cheeses, fruits, etc. All in all, a great hotel for a very reasonable price! Would return for sure!

Great Staff! Helpful and friendly. The breakfast was lovely and good way to start the day. Entrance a little strange going across the car park, but well worth it! They seem to genuinely to care for their customers. Going to Tuscany it is worth a good look with good connections to Pisa, Lucca and Florence!

The Hotel staff were excellent, we didn't have a car so the information from the receptionists was vital. The bar staff are excellent although at lunchtimes they were put under a lot of pressure as only one person doing food and drinks, but very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean but very dated, would be a good idea to have tea and coffee facilities in every room. The bathroom was okay but there was no light in the shower so had to leave the shower curtain partly open, really could do with updating.

When you arrive you think, where is it. There is an American diner and then round the side you think, oh no a Nightclub. Don't worry, large Car park across the other side is a set of gates. This is the hotel. Ring the bell and you are let in. Down a track, a little lake and there is the hotel. Looks great from the outside. Now don't expect modern, think Italian, it looks and feels it. Clean, comfortable. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Now heres the bit you will need to know. The main building has a restaurant and conference centre. Get a room out of there in one of the blocks. We were above the restaurant and it was noisy, plates, cutlery, people talking and smoking outside and when you have the windows open its not good. I'm not criticising the hotel, its something some may not like. Room was lovely, bed comfortable. Breakfast was very nice. A continental style but all fresh and very tasty. Its quite far to the centre of Pisa but location is quiet. Would I stay here again, yes I would, its a pity we only had one night and we were out of season as the pools were closed.

Stayed here for a night. The room was basically a very small one bedroom apartment. It looked like a newer hotel but is not well maintained. The dishes were dirty, all the handles felt loose or broken and the AC did not work (good thing it was cool out). The lobby felt more like a hostel and the staff didnt seem very friendly.

I didn't realise when I booked how far from Pisa this hotel was and that may come as a shock to anyone arriving without a car and thinking they were staying in Pisa. However, if you have a car it is a lovely hotel with beautiful grounds. Staff at check in were very plesent and friendly, our room was lovely in the old stable block on 2 floors, the only slight downside was it was very dark and the lighting was poor. Breakfast was plentiful and very good, fantastic coffee. All in all a nice hotel to stay outside of town.

A beautiful property. Huge rooms. A lake with swans....I'm not a golfer, but if I were to take up the sport....I truly enjoyed the atmosphere, and the price was astoundingly low for such luxury. A little difficult to find unless you take a taxi or have a better map than I did. If you do drive or (God forbid) take the bus, be aware that there is another town nearby with nearly identical spelling. Don't go there unless you like looking at cows. (Ask me how I know.) However you get there, don't miss this charming gem of a truly Italian hotel.

OK, firstly the "Hamlet" is better described as a retail outlet come industrial park and as donkey in "Shrek" says its "Far far far away" from anywhere of any interest. The hotel must have been designed by the creators of disneyland. The main pool and restuarant is a long walk or short drive away and the restuarant looks like a kitch pettrified forest in blue. As for the staff their attitude stinks. We booked and paid by credit card on the internet and at check in we were then asked to make the payment again........anyway, we confirmed with hotel.com that we had paid and shouldn't make any further payment. The recepionsists inferred that we 'didn't want to pay' and we explained that we 'had already paid' did'nt seem to rest easy with him. Rather than any apologies he complained that they were busy and that there were too many people on holiday, it wasnt a national holiday and frankly in this climate they should consider that a blessing rather than an inconvience. Anyway, he was clearly too busy to tell us where the restuarant or pool where and when I asked one of the other staff where the pool was he looked a tad put out and said "outside!" I mean how helpful can you be! We pulled him on his attitude and he did apologies but clearly they dont have enough staff and those that we encounterd were from the Fawlty Towers school of tourism. This is an expensive hotel thats delivers service below any budget hotel.
