Hotel La Giocca

Room clean. Called ahead to ensure the pool was open, and upon check-in, the pool was closed and would not give us a refund to go to a different hotel with a pool. AC would not work.

Great hotel, rooms are tight but clean. Location was a distance from Rome central and a bit of a process between busses and the metro to get there. Breakfasts were perfect a nice selection for a perfect start to the day. Over all loved the stay!

Very nice staff. Some renovations but not a big deal. Great access Rome area,North of city/airport. Great food and bar. Beds are super comfortable and rooms well designed. Breakfast staff are really nice a accommodating.

Everything went smoothy, the room was very clean and the staff very friendly!

A few negative surprises: Restaurant closed for entire week, very limited dining options outside hotel. Breakfast bar staff rude. Stayed in detached building that was poorly maintained, dark, and smelled of smoke. Lousy shower. Positives: nice front desk staff, decent breakfast, good mattress.

Nice hotel, very clean. As for location it is to far from both city centre and airport. Pricey for location.

Overall, it is a good 7 out of 10 hotel. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. To be honest, Italy in general is full of friendly and lovely people, very welcoming. Good size swimming pool with friendly staff, drinks and snacks option by the pool. Room size and facilities were good but slightly dated, with old style doors, windows and locks. The hotel is outside the city centre, it has frequent bus options to the city so no issue getting to the centre, (if you have roughly 1 hour at hand!) however, not much around, in terms of food places or other options. Only onsite restaurant which is a little pricey, since the only option so not much choice! Real disappointment was the breakfast! Unfortunately, except for scrambled eggs and fresh pancake machine, everything else is cold. Mostly, sweet pasteries and cakes, not a real alternative choice for people with dietry requirement. Worst thing is! Its same every single day, no change! By the end of day 4, we were craving for a fried egg or a sausage or hashbrown or maybe even beans lol. Not everyone wants donughts or chocolate cake for breakfast! Staff at the breakfast room were very friendly! Sadly, not enough to fill bellies though 😂. If the hotel changes its breakfast options, maybe have it served at the restaurant with cooked and Veg options, guests might not mind staying outside the city centre! Having said that, if we were back in Rome, we would still consider this hotel but maybe without current breakfast option!

The interior of the facility was nice, the restaurant's food was very good. The exterior of the building could use some renovations.

Awesome hotel. Especially liked the breakfast. The pool is lovely but cold.

Clean, tidy, good for business

Location great. Problem was I could hear person upstairs showering, getting ready for bed, coughing good part of night, etc like he/she were in the next room.

My boyfriend and I had a lovely stay at the hotel, the cold pool and big varied breakfast being our highlights. However, if you are planning on going into the city in the day then be prepared to set aside a budget for taxis alone!! From the airport we were charged a "fixed price" of €98 due to the hotel being "so far away"! We realised we should have used a taxi with a meter as on the way back to the airport it cost us €69 (still very expensive though)! Also, to get into the city it usually cost around €25-30, so getting there and back every day certainly added up. Additionally, there are NO restaurants open locally. The restaurant at the hotel wasn't even open so we had to make another trip into the city to eat dinner! The hotel bar serves food but it is from frozen, so not exactly the authentic Italian meal we had hoped for. Only a few staff spoke English so at times there was a language barrier. Our room was slightly dated but comfortable nonetheless, and we enjoyed the fully stocked minibar and nice bathroom!

Hotel was not as close as stated on website..had to get taxi everyday.location not convenient located.. Staff was awesome I made reservation in May for traveling in July. Website stated free cancellation until June 9th. I called the next day after reserving to cancel since it was not convenient located and they refused to cancel. Was not happy paying over 25 euros for taxi back and forth each day.

Reasonably priced hotel with friendly staff.

Hotel is close to city centre approx 20-25mins. The staff are uber friendly and accommodating. The hotel itself is very quiet with very little guests (but I liked that). The hotel restaurant food was lovely but the hotel catering very bad (ex., tried to eat rice cake for breakfast..to find out it was dated April 2016). Please note my sray is September 16. No kettle in rooms..no international news on TV and there is a prison like blind on window so natural light comes into room.

The hotel isn't all that great. Bed to rough the staff wasn't that plesent. And they close the restaurant before 10. I went at 935 and they refused to attend me
