A lovely clean hotel right next to the autostrada, so very convenient and only a 5 minute drive up to the Duomo in Orvieto. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The towels are white and fluffy a rare find these days! Dog friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

The staff were all very nice and accommodating, but the hotel was not at all what I was expecting from the photos and description. The hotel is old, the furniture is old and tired-looking and the bed was not at all comfortable. We stayed early October and it was still fairly humid out, but the AC had been turned off. We had to open windows which faced a VERY busy and noisy road. There were guests talking loudly and constantly smoking below our room until very late at night and all that came right into our room. Guests were working on something in the parking area and making loud motor noise until after 20:00. I don’t understand why staff allowed this. Bugs came in the open windows so we had to put the shutters down and it felt like we were in a hot box. Thankfully I had a small fan, but it provided very little relief. Breakfast was adequate with pastries, yogurt and cold cuts. The coffee was very good. The restaurant is next door and does not open until 7 for dinner. Food was very good and staff were helpful. There was a bit of a language barrier, but the dinner was very good. The location is convenient as it is right off the highway, but that also adds to the noise, as did the trains speeding by. Although the staff were very nice, if I were to travel to Orvieto again, I would look for a different hotel to stay in.

- very lackluster reception upon arrival. Girl at the desk said maybe 2 sentences to me. Took my passport and handed me my key. - Elevator scratched with graffiti. Lots of graffiti like damage to other parts of the hotel - Room smelled like grandma’s closet - Every 5-10 minutes high speed train will rush by. Tracks about 200 yards from the hotel - A/C not working and hot in the room. Nice and cool outside but no fly screens on the window and tons of mosquitoes. And the trains would be even louder with window open. - Paint chipping off the walls - Window/door loose and won’t latch fully. Rattled all night long - Between the hotel and the train tracks there is some kind of repair yard with workers pounding and making various noises - Breakfast in the basement. Dry cake and juice from concentrate. - Other “guests” walking through the hall to their room yelling and singing. Slamming their door - Paper thin walls. Person in room next door talking on phone via speaker phone and I can hear every word clearly - Paid for a double bed, but got two twin beds pushed together with a split in the middle. No way to sleep in the middle - parking area is a dirt lot - Restaurant connected to the hotel not open. Probably a good thing actually - Tried to plan my day in centro storico but the Wi-Fi continuously drops connection and is slow - Avoid this hotel at all costs. Pay more and stay up in Orvieto old town

Receptionist does not speak english! Booking from trivago is cheaper than physically at the reception desk. Therefore, I booked it while standing at the reception. 🙄 Right at the end before leaving we were asked to pay an additional amount of 4.60euros "city tax". If this is the case, this amount should be asked/included in the price before hand and not at the end before leaving ... Breakfast and the lady incharge of the breakfast speaks english and very sweet.

No A/C. When we told them about it, they came up and said it was working fine but it took a while to cool. 10 sweaty and mostly sleepless hours later the next morning it was still not cool. There were some ants and some other small bug -- not bed bugs, maybe fleas? No bites though. Sink didn't drain. Included breakfast was good. They do have parking, which was a must for us. Price was reasonable, but I don't think I would choose this one again.

Well located hotel, near the train station, and about 10 minutes drive up the mountain to the town or Orvieto. Rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The small life was helpful for taking luggage up to the upstairs rooms. The trains roar past and make a noise for about 10 seconds, which may be an issue for some. Otherwise, very quiet. Breakfast was included, and was wel presented in the dining area.
