MH Design Hotel

The location is excellent. However, I was a bit confused at check-in because the front desk had been moved to a different location.

Great area, hotel itself is meh.

The building and room were rather charming. The fact that the building we stayed in was an extension of the main facility and located a quarter mile up a hill. We had to roll our bags up the hill and then up the marble steps to our room. After an eleven hour plus plane ride we were exhausted.

It was slightly far from merto staion.

The listing on Expedia mentioned “Parking available” - there is none. We wasted an hour trying to find the one indicated by the reception, but our GPS brought us to a tunnel quite far from the hotel. We gave up and found parking near the hotel but it wasn’t cheap!

What we liked: The hotel is situated in Via Chiaia, a few steps from the Palazzo Reale and the San Carlo Theatre as well as Piazza del Plebiscito and Mergellina (the seawalk). This is a prime location, from here you can go anywhere, its right there by the quartieri spagnoli (spanish quarters) as well (if you are a soccer fan this is a great spot to visit). The staff is super friendly and the room was cleaned daily. What we didn't like: The room was extremely small with barely any space too move. There was no air circulation and no fan, this made the space extremely stuffy, we had to have the balcony constantly opened. The air conditioning unit was broken and unfortunately they knew this and still put us in the room, we complained ahout it and they told us they'd move us to a room with it's own AC the next day (most of the room had centralized AC and it was set on heating) this however didn't happen because the next day they told us unfortunately they were full. The bed was made up of 2 twin beds put together which honestly is typically around here, unfortunately one side was super hard and the other was okay. At night we had to sleep with the balcony doors opened because of the heat and as a result all the noises from the outside came in. Also, while they cleaned the room daily they never changed the towals in the bathroom even when we put them on the floor for them to replace. Overall, this is a good spot when considering quality, location and price.

The location is good and very central and rooms were serviced ever day which is good. The photos of the room are so deceiving. The rooms are tiny. The air con barely worked and did not cool down even though it was so hot outside! The shower was awful and looked broken and unfinished. Water would go everywhere and flood the bathroom. Had to use the small handheld shower hose which pointed in the awkward position and wa so low that again the water went everywhere. The building to get to your room looked like it was an abandoned building, not inviting at all.

NICE HOTEL IN THE CITY CENTER. NO NEED FOR A VEHICLE PLENTY OF SHOPS ALL AROUND AND PARKING LOTS ARE A 15 MIN WALK

Great stay.

We were made to feel welcome; rooms ok, tiny, but central and good value. Clean and quiet, and that's great!

Considering the rate we pay the overall experience very disappointing.

The most important thing for me is a service. Staff is helpful and friendly, Grazie! I have really come to Napoli. See you soon.

When we arrived we discovered the hotel had not received our booking from Hotels.com. However thanks to the help of the receptionist we found alternate accommodation for the booked out weekend. The alternate hotel was grossly overpriced despite being the cheapest of the few available for the weekend, very basic and in a dreadful area. I had no satisfaction trying to find out why my confirmed booking did not reach the hotel after speaking to a Hotels.com phone representative who told me to email a complaints address who would reply within 72 hours, I have still heard nothing from them a week later.

Room was in another nearby building, entrance was in a dark empty courtyard with unsecured entrance from the street, ideal for muggings. Hallways inside were dark with motion sensing lights that required you to walk into dark areas before they turned on. This non smoking room had clearly been smoked in heavily. Room safe did not function. Management did nothing about our complaints about the smoke, safe, and tv. Housekeeping simply folded our used towels and rehung them as clean. Shower did not hold temperature, cycling between frigid and scalding. TV.sound did not work, and was a ridiculous jumble of cables with a small cable box dangling from the cables against the wall. Holes in the walls. Broken bathroom mirror. Broken sink drain. Most expensive hotel I stayed in on my trip and by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.

I was in town for business so the hotel was very convenient and the room rather small adequate for my needs. I would not use it if I was visiting for tourism with a girlfriend but maybe they have bigger size. Breakfast was basic but overall good value for money

We only stayed the night before taking a flight out in the morning. For someone wanting to do a lot of site seeing, this is a little bit away from most of the traditional "sites" but it wasn't that far. The rooms were good, AC was good, clean, etc. We did select this hotel based on their being a free airport shuttle, however, to clarify for everyone the bus is not 24 hours and it sounded like it left from harbor area (not the hotel). You may want to get more information on the shuttle before booking if that is important to you.

The room was very small and so was the bathroom. It also smelled bad.
