Millennhotel

An absolute disappointment. The hotel was dirty, carpets on stairs and in rooms, tiny uncomfortable camp beds, no Place to unpack, bathroom sink drain smelled, shower door enclosure falling off and handle cracked. Breakfast serviceable but in a dark cave like room. Not one thing comfortable or enjoyable here. ( location very close to train station is only positive I can find )

There was no air conditioning. I’d like a credit for my next Expedia booking.

Clean comfortable room. Reception staff were excellent. Breakfast was just ok. Hotel is very convenient to the train station and the city centre. There were no English speaking channels on tv.. not even a news one.

Good location for the train station and the historic city centre - it’s about a 15-20 minute walk in. Staff were friendly and very helpful, giving us good recommendations of places to eat nearby and accommodating our late check-in. We only stayed for one night and didn’t have breakfast, so can’t rate the restaurant.

The bed nearly broke my waist. Two tiny beds were brought together as a double bed with two single mattresses. We could hardly sleep. Just too bad

Liked the entrance atmosphere. Looked posh but room was old. Staff were lovely. Breakfast was good.

Cannot thank the reception staff enough. Our bags never turned up. So we were without several important things throughout our stay. One guy offered us his phone charger. He also phoned the lost property at the airport to try to help us. The room was a bit dated, but it was clean.

This was a surprise stay! Certainly a little older lodging, but very charming and located superbly— 5 minute walk from the train station and a 10-15 minute walk to the historic downtown of Bologna. I was greeted by the friendliest hotel staffer I’ve ever met. Franco was a delight! He was helpful, hospitable, lovely disposition, and very generous with his time and attention. The hotel has all the reasons one would want to return, but Franco certainly seals the deal!

Rooms were clean and front desk staff helpful, but the wifi was awful and couldn’t be used even for just a quick google search. The bed would slide around and the pillows were so flat they were barely there. The wallpaper was also pealing with lots of cracks in the roof overall taking away from the comfort of the room.

Great staff, hospitable, nice and caring

Hotel was in a very good location, approximately a 5 minute walk from the Bologna Centrale train station & supermarkets (Coop & Aldi) & approximately a 15 minute walk to main sights (Piazza Maggiore & main shopping area on Via Independenza). The staff member on reception on the day we arrived was very welcoming & friendly & checked us in 40 minutes earlier than the check in time which was very appreciated as we had been travelling from early morning for several hours on trains to get to Bologna due to a flight that was cancelled out of Pisa & was re-scheduled out of Bologna instead. Other reception staff were also very nice. Our room was very clean & neat & bathroom was a good size. Breakfast selection was really good with typical Italian cold breakfast options with savoury foods (salami, ham, cheeses, hard boiled egg), pastries, cakes, toast, cereal, yoghurt, juices, fruits, etc). The breakfast staff were very attentive & polite & the coffee was great with soy milk option also available. The lady that cleaned our room on our 2 night stay was friendly & our room was cleaned very well. Thank you to all the staff that made our 2 night stay at the Millennhotel great. Grazie mille.
