Very happy with our stay at this property. The staff was pleasant, and very attentive. The food was top tier. The thermal pool access was amazing. The communication before the trip with the resort was great because they gave us all inside access on how to successfully get to and from the island. It takes a lot of planning when trains, planes and ferries are involved! Staff assisted us as much as they could and welcomed us with open arms. We used ferryhopper app to buy our tickets to the island from beverello naples port to forio. We arranged a taxi from forio..and a mini cart to take us to the resort where no car access was available.(Resort helped us with that) Welcome drink was key!!! Our room had a great view with AC and a balcony. We took advantage of breakfast daily and walked the town often. Staff spoke multiple languages to accomodate all guests. I do think we should of stayed one more day to take in the culture of the island. I am sorry that we booked too much in one trip, personally. This island was so relaxing and really so beautiful. Thank you again all staff at Miramare...The Brooklyn Couple loved you all!!

Miramare was ok. The breakfast was very nice and servers were great. Front desk staff was impatient. I’m not sure if this is the end of the season but the staff was limited. We had to ask for towels, water, luggage rack(don’t have but 1),body wash, etc. Had to pay for everything including the shuttle from the taxi since the hotel is on a pedestrian only street. The thermal park leaves a lot to be desired. The bar was out of most liquors. Nobody cared. It was old and not like the pictures. You had to take a golf cart over there. Not worth the money at all. Long drive from the port as well.

My husband and I were eagerly looking forward to an unforgettable experience as we celebrated our 22nd anniversary at what was purported to be a 5-star resort. However, our excitement turned to disappointment as we encountered several issues that did not meet our expectations of a 5-star resort in terms of luxury, sophistication, and service. The hotel did not provide a shuttle service from the ferry port, so we paid 65 euros for a taxi to cover the 25-30-minute journey. Upon reaching the town entrance, we were surprised to find out that cars were not allowed, and we had to pay an extra 20 euros for a golf cart ride to the hotel because of this restriction and four pieces of luggage, we had no choice but to opt for the golf cart ride. This was unexpected and frustrating and added to our initial disappointment. Upon arrival, we were further disappointed by the lack of a complimentary drink or cocktail and the rushed, impersonal check-in process. Considering the high cost of our room, which was well over $1200 per night, we felt misled by the five-star rating and let down by the overall experience. Our deluxe oceanfront room, which we were told was one of the best in the hotel, did not meet 5-star expectations. The furnishings were lackluster and uninspiring Ikea-like furniture, the concrete floors felt sterile, and the lack of artwork made the room feel ordinary. Despite the stunning ocean view, the balcony and terrace did not provide the seclusion and comfort we had hoped.

Excellent stay at the Miramare and the staff were very wonderful and very helpful. Great location at the inner harbour. My only 2 comments would be better instructions on where to park and get up the hotel via the golf carts would be helpful and the concrete swim platform below the hotel could Be kept cleaner. Otherwise, a nice place.

The view was wonderful. However we booked a deluxe suite and when we arrived the check in staff said that we had been upgraded to a junior suite. We showed our paperwork from Expedia and they said that the price we had paid was too low for a deluxe suite. In any case the large terrace that they said was all for us was never set up the umbrellas were lying on chairs and nothing was in place for use. Our bedding which was poor quality was not changed during our three day stay. There was mould in the corners of the shower. The staff did not offer to help with luggage in check out. The spa and pool was a long way from the hotel.

We loved the property and the proximity to the beach! We were in the annex which originally we were unsure about because it was a long walk to the hotel, but we were so close to the beach that we loved it. Note there are 2 properties that I believe are considered the annex, we were in the middle. Unfortunately, the room needed a redo. The hot water handle on the sink was not attached and came off and we were unable to use the hot water. Also vanity in bathroom was old and chipped. Mishmosh of hangers in the closet-possibly left by past occupants, but just gives a poor appearance. We had dinner there one night which was a little limited, but there are so many restaurants you can walk to! Overall, we did love the hotel, the breakfast, the location, drinks on the terrace-I can't remember the bartenders name, but he was great!. The staff is very nice and accommodating and made many travel arrangements for us which was greatly appreciated!

We can not say enough wonderful things about our time at Miramare!! We stayed there for our honeymoon and had the most amazing time! It was like we had stepped back in time to an old Italian movie but with all the modern amenities that we would want today. The service from the staff from the time we checked in to when we checked out was beyond our expectations! Always friendly and willing to help in any way they could. The pools and beach access were great - and a bonus that sun beds and umbrella's were included and free of charge. The breakfast buffet was delicious with the freshest squeezed orange juice every morning. The staff even helped me surprise my husband for his birthday going as fas as making a cake for him! We will definitely be returning here again!

Fantastic stay. The most fantastic location in Sant Angelo. A stones throw from the gorgeous town, bustling town square which is so fantastic for aperitivo hour, and multiple dinner options. Hotel breakfast is a huge positive, served on the most glorious terrace, highlight of every day. Staff very helpful too. Highly recommend this resort.

The hotel is in a perfect location in what we felt was the best "town" on the island of Ischia. It's a bit far from the Port where you arrive by ferry, but once you get to Sant Angelo there is no reason to leave. The hotel's restaurant is also fantastic, and the menu changes daily. If you're looking for a quiet, simple, and beautiful vacation with a kind culture and helpful people around you, this is the right choice.

The view is spectacular! Service really lacked. We came down fir dinner and were told that there was no availability?! I told him that we were STAYING at the hotel. He said well.. You should've called ahead. So when I questioned further he finally got us a table in an adjacent dining room (even though there was room in the main dining room) and we were poorly served.

We were in Ischia a few days before Easter--before the tourist season had really hit. Everyone in Sant'Angelo seemed to be getting ready for the onslaught. This is definitely the quiet part of the island. This is a huge hotel but it was nearly empty--I imagine it must be packed in season; they have an entertainment room and a full bar, etc. They graciously gave us an upgrade. Gorgeous sea views from the room. Bed comfy enough (though not a true double/queen) shower small-ish, very good breakfast. The staff is very helpful and kind--from the front desk to the professional waiters. We chose to eat dinner in town--mostly by ourselves. What people come seem to be day-trippers, there for the spa and then back to the more-populated parts of the island. Don't miss the "spremuta" stand by the buses, btw--the best freshly-squeezed juice I have ever tasted--orange with a little of the famous lemons added. The spa is nice--a short walk from the hotel and they provide you with bathrobes and slippers. There are several pools with varying degrees of heat--all the way from "natural" to "Vesuvius." It is seawater heated by the steam underground--not a true hot springs. A very nice way to spend the afternoon.
